I was given Ritalin from age 5 to 15... and nearly every single evening after my last afternoon dose was wearing off, namely between 5pm and 7pm, my ears would swell up and become beet red... sometimes even annoying and clearly visible. The pediatrician never was able to explain it, but i feel it is CLEAR this was caused by the Ritalin. Ritalin also probably caused social misdevelopment because I feel it was given to me WAY too early in life. In spite of the localized hype with dozens of people who have died from this drug (out of MILLIONS taking it)... I still think its relatively safe as long as some basic heart and family history is done before hand. I however might be on the bottom of the luck here because I am 25 now and am starting to develop signs of mild heart disease probably related to long term Ritalin exposure.
That is ridiculous. Your child is on a crazy amount of medication, the doctor obvoisly does not know what he/she is doing. Sedation is ruining this kid's childhood.
Try just the Metadate for a week. ADHD is not treated with Seroquel. Seroquel is an anti-psychotic with strong sedative properties that makes the child appear to be calm. Seroquel is also only FDA approved for patients over the age of 18 for Bipolar mania and Schizophrenia.
In other words, your doctor is a quack, and that is not safe.

As an amendment to this answer I'll usually be quick to defend the recommendations of a doctor but I've only seen 200-300mg of seroquel given to patients who are in need of a strong antipsychotic. In fact in the normal treatment of bipolar mania I believe it's usually given out in doses of 25-100mg for adult males...so for a 5 year old child I would certainly say you're within rights to want a second opinion.

No, Ritalin will show up on a standard UA as an amphetamine but they have to do a separate, specific test to test for methadone.

Yes, but don't. People do it occasionally to enjoy the coke-like high, but if you take it to often be prepared to start getting ridiculously paranoid. You'll start "tweaking" (shaking and blinking faster than you can think). Don't. Do it once a week if you really want to lose weight, and work out while you're on it. You'll be good in no time.

I have been taking Ritalin (60mg) a day and Vicodin (hydrocodone 7.5mg) for appr. 1 year (due to cancer issues). All Dr.s and my pharmacist are not concerned with the combo. You can, but taking 40mg of norco and by norco I think you mean hydrocodone but norcos have acetaminophen in them, roughly 325mg per 10mg of hydrocodone.
So while you can do that, you shouldn't acetaminophen is very harmful towards your kidneys.
But just hydrocodone. and ritalin would be a fine combination, you should be able to treat your ADD/ADHD, with no problem.
And the Norcos won't make you sleepy.
