Ritalin is not an illegal drug unless found on a person who is not prescribed to it. If you are prescribed to it and taking it right then you have nothing to worry about. If you are caught selling it or buying it from people that is considered drug transfer which is illegal.

well i have ADD and i take Ritalin to help me focusnad when i take the med it makes you not hungry or in other words qehn the Ritalin is kicked in it has a side effect that makes you loose your appitite. thus resulting in you not eating as much, thus causing weight loss

Ritalin and Adderall will do essentially the same thing. The ibuprofen shouldn't do any harm, but I wouldn't recommend mixing Ritalin with Adderall. If you want a more intense response to the medication you should only use one of the two, maybe double your dosage if you want.

The answer is YES and NO. They are two different drugs. Ritalin works on dopamine to make it stay for a longer period of time. Hence increase mental alertness, memory, no fatigue, increase concentration, euphoria, increase libido. On the other hand Xanax works on GABA receptors which partly relieves anxiety and is a short acting sedative too. So if both taken in combination the result can be excellent as well as disastrous. excellent in a sense that xanax cops with the adverse effects of Ritalin such as inc. heart rate, anxiety, insomnia etc. And disastrous in a sense that you are playing games with your brain. on one hand you are telling it to slow down while on the other you are wipping it to run faster than normal. I'm assuming You're asking if there is an interaction between the two when taken simutaneously?...In that case, from my experience, yes alchol can potentiate adderall. This obviously depends on how much of each you take. Higher amounts of either will incresse the side effects and potentiating. Its not a good idea, but as for having a beer after a days work on adderall? I'd say its fine, you'll notice alcohol like adderall changes your psychological perception or temporarily elevates your mood. So mixing the two irresponsibly simply makes you feel very drunk/abnoxious and very energetic. Eventually leading to abnormal or uncontrolled behavior, especially when coming down from one or the other compounds, you will get very aggressive, angry, and perhaps say things you will wish you hadn't said. I was reading a comment b4 about a guy that was doing it over a year n always getting tested at his clinic and never had a worry. So I would say no. While Ritalin is not actually methamphetamine or amphetamine, it IS methylphenidate. Methylphenidate "looks" a lot like amphetamine AND cocaine (benzoylmethylecogine) The test probably tests for the metabolites of aromatic compounds, rather than the actual presence of these drugs in your system (unless you get a blood test). My guess is that if the substances are similar in nature to begin with, then they probably get degraded to common compounds. Which means, it probably would show up if you took enough of the drug. Ritalin gets metabolized beyond therapeutic efficacy within 24 hours. It's virtually all out of your system after 48 hours, and if you go the distance...say 96 hours, it's fully out of your system. No doubt.

There is no actual way to "fail" or "pass" a drug test. It all depends upon what your employer/drug officer/wife..don't ask is concerned about. If you say you take Ritalin to help with school, chances are they won't get too concerned with a positive test for amphetamines. That said, don't be stupid and smoke weed and think you can get away with it just because you take Ritalin. That's completely different.

Lastly, if you're still concerned, call the drug testing company up, pretend to be an employer who wants to drug test an employee who you think is abusing Ritalin, and ask if they are able to detect it, and if so, say "the employee doesn't work Friday-Sunday, but they're "over the top" on Monday" and that you've heard them discuss abusing drugs with other employees, etc. fill in the blanks. hope this helps.

I have been taking 15mg of Methylphenidate twice each day for the past 18 months. It is for Adult ADHD. I am 59 years old. I have no general history of drug abuse other than having smoke pot and heavy drinking when I was a kid.

From time to time I have taken more Methylphenidate (up to 30mg) per dose and/or taken a third dose during the day. To me it seems 15mg does the job and when I take 20 or 25mg per dose it just gets me a bit reved up. The regular dose of 15mgX2 gives me the "enthusiasm" I need to get through the day.

Just now I started taking Nortriptyline 25mg twice a day for a pinched nerve in my neck. It is supposed to help with nerve pain. I can't say it relieves the pain but it somehow makes it feel different... less intense.

Overall, I am concerned with the combination of the two drugs. One is actually a stimulant, the other an anti-depressant. You'd think they'd work against each other.

I find... after two weeks... that the combination makes me feel quite well as it pertains to ADHD... plenty of focus, no anxiety. Nothing noticed as to adverse side effects.... BP low/normal. Appetite normal.

I just tried it for the for the time and I feel pretty good however I did about 90mg. Ill tell you more later once I expierment more. Pretty much all ADD and ADHD meds can get you high excpt for Vyvanse which could, but is VERY dangerous because you have to take a f*** ton by mouth, snorting it wont work. Anti-anxcity meds aalso have high potential for abuse, the high is pretty kick a**. Just look up symptoms of what these meds treat and tell your doctor you've been haveing them.

Take your methylphenidate (ritalin) and crush it up into a very fine powder. 20 mg is suggested, though 10 works too.

Put this onto a 5'' by 5'' sheet of foil in a line.

Put an equal line of baking soda onto the foil.

Put just a FEW drops of water onto this powder mixture, just enough for it to be damp.

Swirl mixture in a circle over foil.

Let it dry for a few minutes. If you put too much water, it will take longer to dry.

Put a lighter underneath, get a tube to inhale the smoke coming from the dry powedered circle, and inhale slowly, as the smoke is harsh.
