Rod Stewart has recorded over 1,000 songs and has written hundreds which are too numerous to list, but include Maggie May, Hot Legs, You're In My Heart.

His new album due out in Spring 2013 is to be made up completely of new songs written by Rod, his first for fifteen years or so, and the new single was featured in his televised Stirling Castle concert of November 2012 called "Can't Stop Me Now".

I know I've seen Rod Stewart sing this song in a live performance before on TV, but everyone on the net Say's no it was the Stories. Yes, he had cancer in his thyroid gland, which is in your neck. He had surgery which went well in July of 2000. It took him a year to recover and that is why is voice is different now. It still does the raspy thing but is much more softer for his standard songs.

Rod first met Jimi Hendrix at The Cromwellian in 1966, then appeared on the same bill at a concert in the Poconos a couple of years later

Most likely (and note this may not be accurate although it probably is), he is the son of Jim Cregan - a member of Stewart's band at the time who co-wrote numerous songs with Stewart and played guitar in the band.
