What do we use solar energy for?

we use it for regular energy appliances without wasting electricity and hurting the earth and we use the sun instead.

What equipment is needed to play cornhole be specific?

To play cornhole, you need two cornhole boards, each measuring 2 feet by 4 feet with a 6-inch diameter hole centered 9 inches from the top. Additionally, you'll need eight cornhole bags, typically made of durable fabric and filled with corn kernels or plastic pellets, with four bags per team in two different colors. A measuring tape can also be useful for setting up the distance between the boards, which is usually 27 feet apart for adults.

What is a good science fair conclusion?

What I found out during this experiment was that my hypothesis was correct, the odor of the substances did diffuse across a room at different speeds. Deodorant spread faster than all the other substances- perfume, sunscreen, air freshener, and an orange. It took 6.46 seconds to diffuse 5ft and 42.46 seconds to travel 25ft through the air. All the other substances had more than 1 or 2 minutes to travel 25ft. The orange had the slowest times. At 5ft it took 12.66 seconds, which is double the deodorant's time, and at 25ft it took 2.54.72 minutes.

Some ways to have made this experiment better would be to spray each substance several times for each 5 feet and take the average second instead of spraying the substance only one time every 5 feet. I also could have not have sprayed the substance and just open the can and let it sit in a corner and time how long it takes for the scent to reach you. Another extension would be to spray the substance in a box and then open the box and let the scent spray. ( my 7th grade science fair conclusion)

What are acknowledgements for science fair projects?

i think that on a science fair they are identifying the people who helped you and how they helped you

What are some good science project ideas for 5th graders?

This would be a neat science project.

Its title is "Washing With Fruit."

The chemical in question is called d-limonene. It's made by squeezing it out of orange peels. The cleaning products aisle in the supermarket is full of "orange" cleaners. This is the stuff they use to make them...but we're going to have a really tough test for it. We are going to try cleaning greasy car parts with it to see whether d-limonene or mineral spirits, the standard solvent for cleaning car parts, works better. Do this experiment outside, please.

You will need:

some greasy car parts--go to a junkyard and ask if they have some old greasy broken car parts you can have. Get four of them. The dirtier the better.

two small buckets--Home Depot has small paint buckets that hold a gallon. These would be fine.

two parts cleaning brushes.

two quarts of d-limonene and two quarts of mineral spirits.

protective gear--gloves and goggles.

a watch with a second hand.

The first test is to put a part in each bucket, pour mineral spirits in one and d-limonene in the other, swish the parts around once every minute, and see how long it takes for the solvent to clean the part.

The second test is to put a part in each bucket. Put solvent in one bucket and scrub the part with a brush, timing as you do this. Then put the other solvent in the other bucket and scrub that part. Here you have two questions--which worked faster, and which was easier to scrub the grease off with?

You can have one of two hypotheses: that mineral spirits will clean better than d-limonene, or that d-limonene will clean better.

What are good science fair projects for 9th grade?

There are so many interesting ideas a 9th grader can do for a science fair project. One can do a project on whether gum helps you to concentrate, how carnivorous plants digest insects, or the effect of the overpopulation of guppies.

26.2miles in 180 minutes how much was it in mph?

1 hour = 60 minutes so 180 minutes = 3 hours.

So, 26.2 miles in 180 minutes = 26.2 miles in 3 hours = 26.2/3 miles per hour

= 8.73... mph

What do scientists review before forming hypothesis?

identify the problem and what you want to try to prove or disprove.

or something like that :D

Does milk need to be refrigerated?

Of course milk needs to be refrigerated because if you don't refrigerate it, it will get chunky and go bad.

How long does composting take?

Anywhere from a month to a year is how long composting takes. Assuming that proper procedure is followed, the timespan will depend upon the frequency with which layers are turned and the pile thereby is aerated and upon the size and type of compostable materials.

Is an experiment an example of an exercise or problem?

it is a problem because an exercise is something that you do to get good practice with it, while a problem is more like a puzzle that you need to solve.

What is the manipulating factor?

The independent variable is also known as the manipulated variable. This is the factor manipulated by the experimenter, and it produces one or more results, known as dependent variables.

What is needed in a scientific method?

you need: your question, your hypothesis, materials, the procedure, your observations and a conclusion.

What is control variable in experiment?

A "control" cell in an experiment is a cell for which the physical properties are known. Control cells are used when you want to evaluate the effect of a new fabrication process or technique, but you also want to be sure that the results are not contaminated by some unaccounted for variable.

For example, in the manufacture of integrated circuits, you may wish to evaluate the change in circuit performance when you shift the voltage threshold of your transistors. You would fabricate a control cell using the normal process, and an experimental cell using the new voltage threshold process. The circuits would be fabricated together on the same equipment, using the same processes, except for the one step where the voltage thresholds vary. That way, when you see a performance difference between the control and experimental cells, you can be assured that the difference is due to the voltage threshold difference, and not some other process.
