Screamo music is an offshoot of hardcore punk and emo. The music maintains traditional hardcore sounds, and it is characterized by high tension screamed lyrics. The lyrics tend to contain a more emo genre subject matter. It is sometimes dubbed as "screamo emo." Some examples of screamo bands would be The Blood Brothers and Portraits of the Past.

Depending on what you mean by the word "screamo," you may or may not be able to find what your'e looking for. If you mean what the word truly means, which is a very specific genre of music more technically known as "purist hardcore," then it might be very difficult to find a band of that genre with any country influence.
However, if by "screamo," you mean any music with screaming vocals, it may be a slightly easier task. There are countless subgenres of metal that feature screaming vocals that you could explore, however, I'd caution you to keep your search in only American metal. Metal originated in Europe so there's plenty of European metal out there, however, it will be impossible to find any non-American metal with American country influences.
The band that immediately comes to mind here is a Christian heavy metal band called Demon Hunter that does display a slight southern influence, but either way, they're an awesome band! check them out!

Yes, but he doesn't really live a Christian lifestyle, he does have lyrics about God when he was in Attack Attack! but, that was against the will of other members of AA!. The band has repeatedly denied claims of being a Christian.
I guess that depends on your style and inevitably your age. To some people screamo is scary. It takes some getting used to. I started listening to screamo in 7th grade and I was scared of it at first. Then I started listening to the lyrics instead of the screaming. Once you can do that, you can understand screamo music. If you can feel the lyrics, for example Falling Away From Me by Korn, is about suicide and being beaten. If you feel like people are always beating you down you wouldn't be scared of that song. It all depends on the lyrics once you get past the screamo part of it.
Wear whatever you like, don't be defined by what others' suggest.

Its not little girl scream like you would think. Its more of a deep throat roar. But that's depending on the style of screaming. There is a death growl that's deep and raw sounding, whispers, pig squeal, but these are only for this certain kind of screamo/death metal ie. White Chapel, Born Of Osiris, Veil Of Maya, A Black Rose Burial, (All basically the same type of metal) etc.. The band BrokenCyde, though laking in talent, is a good example of different types of screaming.
^^ Find someone you know who is a experienced screamer and get them to teach you. If you don't do it right its not healthy for your throat and diaphragm.
There are many girl screamers out there. IWrestledABearOnce, Otep, Flyleaf.. So don't be afraid to try it. But know your limits. You wont get the same effect as a girl screamer as a guy screamer.
