The night before Selena's murder her husband Chris and herself had a meeting with Yolanda Saldivar at the Days Inn in Corpus Christi, TX. After retrieving files and records containing information about her fan club and boutiques, and as Selena and Chris left the hotel, Selena came to the conclusion that Saldivar kept a few of the files. The following day Selena got up early, got dressed as though she was going jogging and took Chris's truck back to the Days Inn where Selena and Saldivar argued over Saldivar holding records still to the point where Selena said that they could not be friends at that time and nor could they work together. She took the ring the "Saldivar" got for her and was about to place it on the bed when Saldivar pulled out the .38-Caliber Taurus Revolver and shot Selena once in the right shoulder as Selena ran for her life, severing an artery. Saldivar chasing her calling her a bitch. Severely wounded, Selena stumbled her way to the lobby and fell twice; once by the pool and again in the lobby where she lay as the clerk called 911 and Selena named Saldivar as her assailant and gave the room number. Selena transported to the local hospital where at 1:05 pm she was pronounced dead. The room number where Selena was shot was 158 and now has been re-numbered to 156.

Because it was a tragic killing and she was a very popular singer. Obviously, she brought the previously non-existent Tejano music culture to life and she was da really wonderful, sensational, inspirational person overall.

She was the most popular latina singer in the U.S. at the time of her shocking and untimely death at the age of 23 on March 31, 1995 and sold over 1 million records, she was very down to earth (she never denied an autograph to her fans), she was a sexy performer (she liked to wear bustiers and designed her own clothing), her voice was amazing ( she had a powerful voice). Selena just had that sex appeal and she was a beautiful person inside and out, she loved her fans more than anything!

Never! Selena has said that Chris was the love of her life. He was always supporting her until the day she died but why did Selena not have him come with her to see Yolanda, even though Yolanda wanted to meet her alone? Yolanda was a criminal after all....

If your asking this because of the reference Yolanda had said that Selena had cheated, and she had proof of it, she never showed the proof, and later on they were found to be false claims , SELENA DID NOT CHEAT ON CHRIS, and Chris did not cheat on Selena, the two were so madly in love i don't think they had ever even though about it, let alone looked at some one of the opposite sex =)
