What is the value of a Parker Brothers and a WW Greener double barrel shotguns?
The value of your Parker and Greener, are based on the model, grade and condition of each piece. With that said, you should visit a reputable gun shop in your area and have them appraise your guns. Let them know that you are interested in an appraisal for insurance purposes and not what they would be willing to buy them for. Good luck.
What is the value of a Parker Brothers 20 gauge shotgun?
That is dependent on the condition and grade of the gun. Most collectors will only pay top dollar for original finishes. Automatic ejectors will significantly enhance the value regardless of condition. Depending on condition it could be worth $400 to over $4000.
What is value of Harrington Richardson 410 handy gun made around 1919 or 1920?
H&R manufactured the Handy Gun from about 1924 to 1933. It is important to know that the smoothbore versions are classified as NFA firearms and must be registered with BATFE. If it has not been registered, it is illegal to own and cannot now be registered. If it is a legal Handy Gun it is worth $400-$600 depending on condition and configuration.
Do miroku-made browning shotguns eg bss sidelock have higher value than the miroku brand?
In the book I'm looking at, it doesn't distinguish between the 2. (I'm not that familiar, just looking in a book (gun list standard catalog of firearms) sidenote- It says your BSS sidelock (and there are several different types of BSS guns) was actually manufactured in Korea b/t 1983 and 1987. Miroku produced guns were imported and produced by a variety of companies such as Charles Daley, Browning, Winchester, and SKB. No actual guns are listed Miroku B.C. brand guns. If one gun says Browning made in Japan, and the other gives the Miroku brand name on the gun, but both are made for Browning, then I think you just are looking at different production years. Hope this helps. -Rick Yes. The sidelock is recognized as a better action than a boxlock. Also, the boxlock came in a plain field grade while the sidelock came with better wood and engraving.
I assume you mean, how do you field strip the Ortgies pistol. With the magazine removed and the striker in the fired position, move the slide back about 1/2", push the button on the left rear of the frame just below the slide, and move the rear of the slide upward. Run the slide forward off the frame and barrel. Move the striker back until the lug on its right side aligns with the exit track in the underside of the slide and lift out the striker, spring and follower. The gun is now field stripped for regular cleaning. When reassembling, there is an angled notch about midway in the firing pin (striker) channel in the inside top of the slide. After the firing pin is installed, and before the slide is put back on the frame, use a tool to compress the striker spring and move its follower into this notch. This will hold the spring and follower out of the way during replacement of the slide. While handling the slide during installation on the frame, keep a fingertip over the rear opening of the striker channel in case the striker spring follower slips from its notch. While the striker spring follower is in its detente notch, take care to keep the rear of the slide aimed away from your face (and others,of course). If this seems too complicated, or if you can't understand the directions or terminology, you should probably take the gun to a reputable gunsmith for a thorough cleaning (including a detail strip). Have him walk you through the field strip and reassembly process. If you really do want to detail strip it yourself, submit that specific question. N.B. The Ortgies pistol only has a grip safety, and it stays released unless the button on the left rear of the frame is pushed. It is not safe to carry or store with a round in the chamber. Do not load it unless and until you are ready to shoot.
What company manufactured the Ted Williams model 1200 shotgun?
The Sears Ted Williams 200 is a Winchester 1200.
Did Remington Arms purchase the over under shotguns and if so what is their model?
No single manufacturer can "purchase the over under shotguns," whatever that means. If you check out their website at www.remington.com , you can find pictures and descriptions of all their firearms currently in production. Many manufacturers make over/unders.

Who made Coast To Coast Master Mag shotgun model 880?
The Coast to Coast Master-Mag model 880 is a 'House brand' Mossberg 500. I haven't found out much else about them so far, there isn't a lot of information about them on the net unfortunately. * update* Found out they were made from the late 70's to early 80's, no exact dates though. Could this have been made by Mossberg? We have a Master-Mag 880 and would like to find out too. I just bought my son a Coast to Coast model 880 shot gun w/ a bird barrel and a slug barrel. We are also trying to identify the manufacture, but interestingly enough, my Mossberg 500 slug barrel is an identical fit! This one is has "50 Years" embosed on one side. We paid $100.00 for it this afternoon, which I cansider to be a good deal!

How can you tell the age of a BSA shotgun?
Hi there
one of the ways to broadly find the age of the gun is to look at the proof marks this should be a small symbol roughly 5 mm X 5mm which will have been stamped on the action or on the breech of the barrel.
You should find a verry small crown with 2 letters underneath, an explanation of the symbols and the periods that they are associated with are illustrated in the BASC handbook for shooting but they can also found on the internet when you search for Birming Proof House proof marks.
good luck

What is the value of a Sam Holt Co model 1806 12 gauge shotgun made for Sears?
Single shot, $25-$75. Double barrel $125-$250. Mostly depends on how well it looks over a yuppie's fireplace. It's not something a sportsman or serious collector would want. The Sam Holt shotguns were Belgian-made copies of Colt shotguns. Somewhere on the thing, especially if it was made & imported after 1891, you'll find the McKinley tariff mark, which will say in very small letters either 'Belgium' or 'Belgique.' Most Belgian made shotguns at the time were very poor quality & many of them had 'stub twist' barrels, which were a cheap form of Damascus steel. Damascus barrels won't stand modern smokeless powders. They blow up. If the markings say 'fluid steel' or 'liquid steel,' it would probably be safe to shoot with extremely low-powered modern loads. Otherwise, it's a wall-hanger. Paint it white, decorate it with plastic flowers, & carry it to weddings. TexasCharley
Where can you look up the year of a model 11 Remington with the serial number?
There is a chart at the bottom of this page: http://www.remington.com/magazine/history/m11_5.htm
The 410 shotgun is most used for what type of game?
deer, birds, and other small game Most deer are much too large for hunting with a .410. I wouldn't use one for anything larger than a possum or owl that's raiding the henhouse. The most common use in hunting is as a boy's (or girl's) first shotgun because it is lighter, usually shorter, and has less recoil. Of course, less powder and shot equals less hits and kills, so the kid gets discouraged and may never 'graduate' to a 12 gauge.
What is the value of the Remington shotgun that is on a Browning patient?
You are referring to, I assume, the model 11 or Sportsman. Remington produced these guns under the Browning patent in the United States during the 1940s. I am looking for an answer to a similar question and I have not gotten an answer yet, but from people I have talked to I am told that good condition gun would fetch somewhere in the $250-$350 range, depending. From a collector or resale standpoint, it seems that Browning A-5's held their value more compared to the Remingtons.
What is the value of a Remington model 812 410 bore shotgun?
I just bought one two days ago, its was kindof beat up but i paid 65$ Canaidian, which is probobly like 62$ American. So my guess for one in good condition would be less then 100$
What is the value of a Browning Citori Plus trap gun?
I bought a Citori Plus, in a combo set, which included a 34" trap barrel and the O/U barrel, plus the case. I bought it new about 8 years ago for $2400. I would think you could get around $1500 for the plus model, non combo set, if it is in very good condition, less if it has been "used".

Can anyone tell you if there is such a shotgun like a rolling block 24 gauge?
I'm sure there probably is, but I can't locate one in any of my references. If you have an idea who might have manufactured such a gun, it would make the search easier. The most likely American manufacturer would be Remington but many rolling block actions were also made in Europe where the 28 gauge would be more common, I believe. Of course, any competent gunsmith could convert a Remington rolling block military rifle into a smoothbore shotgun. In fact, if one were chambered for something like the 55-100 Maynard cartridge, a 28 gauge shell might fit.
