Good news, bad news. The Marble Gamegetter is a sought after collector's item, and depending on EXACT condition and model, may sell for anywhere from several hundred to more than $1000.

Now the bad news. Many of these were made with 12 inch or 15 inch barrels. Under US law, these are Class III weapons, just like a belt fed machinegun. IF the barrels are less than 18 inches in length, they must have been registered with the Federal BATFE as an AOW (Any Other Weapon). If they have not been registered already, they cannot be. Penalty for possession of an unregistered AOW is 10 years in prison.

So- registered (and yes, there will be registration paperwork) a valuable firearm.

You can get the bolt & parts from Numrich gun parts, BUT, the entire bolt will cost you more than the entire shotgun is worth from Numrich. I'd put a "Wanted" ad on gunboards.com if I were looking.

While I am not sure if your question is about the US.or Europe?I can say that the biggest manufacturer was Cresent arms Co.They made over 100 different types of shotguns by name for many hardware stores through out the country.They were in business from 1882-1932.Of course Winchester made many shotguns during this time period.The model 1897 being the most popular.Remington were making side by side shotguns during this time also.with many being sold.Marlin began making shotguns at the begining of the 20th century.I hope that you find this informative.

Value could be anywhere from $25 to over a thousand. Depends on WHICH shotgun, and on its condition. Sort of like "I have Ford car. Its blue- what is it worth?". There are just too many variables for us to give you an accurate answer. Your best bet will be to have a gun dealer examine it. Inexpensive Belgian made shotguns from that time frame were sold by Sears, hardware stores, etc for a few dollars. Many of these were made for black powder shells ONLY, and should not be fired with modern ammunition.

About $50-$100, depending on condition. The Mossberg bolt action guns are well made, but a utility grade "working man's" sort of gun. Reliable and durable, not a lot of collector interest- but good shooters.

About $75-100. These were durable, utility grade hunting firearms- made for "the working man". Although there is very little collector interest, these were well made, safe, reliable firearms. I have a couple of Mossberg bolt actions that I keep as a "loaner" gun when a visitor hunts with me, and did not bring a shotgun.
