no there isn't. the double-barrel design was intended to provide a second charge to a breach loading gun without reloading. It was useful for hunting game-fowl; if you miss with the first shot, you can get a second shot off before the bird disappears into the brush. For any shotgun with a more sophisticated ammunition loading system, dual barrels would add nothing of value, and reduce the gun's accuracy (since the force from the shot is off-center, introducing a slight torque).

i have a 10 ga., double barrel "over & under". stamped on the barrel it says "made in Italy". on the other side of barrel is "Richland Arms Co.". I'm also a bit puzzeled and confused. Know anything ?

Unfortunately for you, if it was not properly registered prior to 1968, it is now illegal to possess it and the likelihood of being able to register it anytime in the future is zero to none.

It's a Winchester Model 1400 made for Sears. Depending on condition it is worth between 150-300. The Model 1400 was made from 1964-68. From @ 69-71 it was renamed the 1400 Mk II after a cosmetic checkering change and action release redesign. In 72 the "Mk II" marking was dropped and it was the 1400 until it was discontinued in 1994.
