Either one will be fine. A 20 gauge is generally lighter in weight and will be less tiring to carry.
For USA Citizens:
Check with your local states laws for restrictions and requirements, then go to a gun dealer near you and purchase the firearm.
You'll be asked to fill out some paperwork and go through a background check to make sure you're not a violent criminal, wanted felon, mentally unstable etc..
After the background check is completed (it can take as little as 30 minutes in some places to a week in others depending on the store) you can take the gun home with you.

Can a 410 shotgun use a fouty-five caliber bullet safely?
No, is the short answer. The long answer is a little more complex. The .45 Colt and the .410 share similar base dimensions which make them interchangeable in certain firearms. Usually, however, you find .45 Colt/.410 shotgun combinations, meaning the firearm is designed to shoot .45 Colt, but will also accept .410 shot shells. The Taurus Judge, and Bond Derringer's Snake Slayer are two pistol examples. There are many variations, but the unifying factor is that these guns are designed to handle higher chamber and barrel pressures generated by the .45 Colt cartridge. The barrel of your typical .410 shotgun is very thin in comparison, and is designed to fire shotgun ammunition only. So, if the firearm is specifically designed for it, you can shoot .410 shotgun ammunition through a .45 Colt barrel. You cannot, nor should you attempt, to load a .45 Colt round into a .410 shotgun.
How do you find gun value for free?
I have a 1965 Winchester model 70 .264 win mag w/ monte carlo high grade walnut stock, A Weaver V9-A scope, and a Harris aluminum bipod with recoil reduction springs on extending legs. Has had fewer than 250 rounds fired through it. Bore is clean and bright. Overall condition is very good on all blued steel. Stock shows some imperfections from normal wear and tear. Shoots flat, fast, and hard. Have had more offers for this gun than I care to mention. Don't know what it's worth.
