What do the marks on beretta chokes mean?

First of all, congratulations on picking such a good piece of kit.

Choke markings do vary a bit but the basics are as follows:-

SK/IIIII = SKEET for close range targets, out to around 25/30 yards if the clay is face on or side on if closer.

IC/IIII = IMPROVED CYLINDER OR 1/4 CHOKE for targets out to about 40ish yds. face on or side on (flat) to 30ish yds.

M/III = MODIFIED OR HALF CHOKE, for targets out to about 50/60 yds face on or 40/50ish yds side on,(flat).

IM/II = IMPROVED MODIFIED OR 3/4 CHOKE, for targets out to around 60/70ish yds face on or 50/60ish side on(flat).

F/I = FULL CHOKE. For targets out to 70/80ish yds face on or 60/65ish yds side on, (flat). but will kill out a lot further in the hands of a good shot.

I`v seen rising teal clays shot at 110 yds and nice clean breaks.

These distances are not that accurate as guns vary slightly as do cartridges. Plastic wads tend to keep the shot pattern together a while longer, so you don`t need quite so much choke. In general if you use a 1/2 choke to kill a bird cleanly with felt wads, then with plastic wads you can roughly, kill the same bird with a 1/4 choke.

Put the most open choke into the bottom barrel, that's one dot on your barrel selector. Then put the tightest choke in the top barrel, that's two dots on the selector.

If you have a close bird/clay to shoot first put the selector on bottom barrel/one dot.

If you have a side on or distance target first, then use the top barrel/two dots. This will help you out of a lot of difficult situations.

Any information as to age age and value of a Star Leader Double Barreled 410 Shotgun Serial Number 47400?

I have a Star Leader double barrel .410 shot gun. It is actually made by Cresent Arms out of Norwitch CT. as a hardware store model sold under the name selected by the particular hardware store that ordered it. Since it is a Cresent Arms it would be valued as such and could bring slightly more or less depending on the collector for its uniqueness. The last gun show where I had mine appraised it appraised at $1800.00 but I was offered 2000 for it as I walked around. Mine has a serial number of 47488 and was purchased in 1929 by my grandfather in or around Good Hope ILL.

Does a mossberg model 183ke bolt action have an adjustable choke?

Many of the Mossberg bolt action shotguns used a removable choke, not an adjustable. Sold under the name C-Lect-Choke, this was an external choke that could be unscrewed with a special wrench, and a different choke screwed into its place.

How much is a Beretta A390ST 12 gauge shotgun worth?

I just purchased one that looks like it's only had a box or 2 of shell's put through it for $460 and it came with 3 choke tubes: no box, instructions etc. I've seen them in similar condition for sale from between 500-700 dollars.

Is it legal to take plug out of shotgun?

Yes, it is legal. However, it is illegal to hunt migratory birds with a shotgun that holds more than 3 shells (2 in magazine, 1 in chamber). That is why many "bird guns" come already plugged. All self defense shotguns have the plug removed. I believe in most states you can hunt deer and other game with unplugged shotguns.

What is value of Spanish made mugica pigeon grade 16 gauge sxs shotgun model 16 gauge sxs shotgun?

I have a muguca 12 gauge which I have bought from a friend for 250euros. It is still in good condition balances well and shoots very straight. I fire around 500 rounds with it every year . I am very happy to own this gun though I wish it was an ejector. It has coin finished side locks engraved. The wood is better than average. It is a pleasure to shoot with it and I always get my share of game.

Is there a gun manufacturer making a 3.5 inch 20 gauge shotgun?

Not that I'm aware of. Probably because there are no ammunition manufacturers making 3-1/2 inch long, 20 gauge shotgun ammo.

Can you shoot a gun in your yard?

All this depends on the country and state laws, but in most of places civilians are allowed to fire AIRSOFT GUNS which you can get without filling a permission form. It is also a good way to practice aiming and shooting.

NOTE: Higher caliber pistols and rifles should be fired at a shooting range. You need a special permission to carry on this type of weaponry.

Where is the serial number located on a WM Parkhurst double barrel 12 gauge shotgun with Belgian steel barrels?

By taking the barrel of the stock and looking where your barrel meet the firing pins, if you are lucky you will see a number. I have found in my research some of these little treasures did not have a heavy stamped number. Don't get fooled, these numbers are not Item numbers, This was actually a family genealogy number which kept track of the families during WW1. Some of this information has been lost throughout history, However this Inexpensive, cheaply made, Not worth much, Haaaaha, My treasure still bares my Great G Grandfather's marks of Valor as he pushed through Sicily to make sure my Grandpa a boy at that time was on the Safe boat to America, while Germany was invading Italy. Awesome gun saved lives. And the tails of the way they packed those shells. I've seen it fired once when I was little NO GIRL GUN. No amount of money can match this History I'll Keep it for the next 120 Years.
