What is the age range at which infants are most at risk for SIDS?
Infants are most at risk for Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) between the ages of 1 and 4 months.
What are the latest statistics on Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS)?
According to the latest data, Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) is the leading cause of death in infants between 1 month and 1 year of age. In the United States, around 1,500 infants die from SIDS each year. The risk of SIDS is higher in babies who are exposed to smoking during pregnancy or after birth, sleep on their stomachs, or sleep in an overheated environment. Following safe sleep practices, such as placing babies on their backs to sleep and using a firm mattress, can help reduce the risk of SIDS.
How does bed sharing impact the risk of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS)?
Bed sharing increases the risk of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) because it can lead to accidental suffocation or overheating for the baby. It is recommended to have the baby sleep in a separate crib or bassinet to reduce the risk of SIDS.
Does congestion play a role in the occurrence of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS)?
Congestion does not directly cause Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS), but it can potentially contribute to the risk factors associated with SIDS. Factors such as sleeping position, overheating, and exposure to tobacco smoke are more closely linked to SIDS.
Can congestion be a contributing factor to Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS)?
Yes, congestion can be a contributing factor to Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) as it can obstruct a baby's airway and lead to breathing difficulties.
Why fossils are important discoveries?
Fossils provide a record of past life forms and environments, helping scientists understand evolution, ecosystems, and Earth's history. They can also provide insights into the behavior, anatomy, and physiology of ancient organisms. Additionally, fossils are used as evidence to support scientific theories and reconstruct past environments.
Why was the discovery of pulsars so important?
hi yours is a new question
but anyway it's in doubt since very long
whereas the matter available in universe is somewhat alike that is the only which shows that the total cosmos's origin is from single unit

How can you tell if your baby has SIDS or any signs of SIDS?
There are no signs to tell if your baby will pass to SIDS. SIDS is sudden & silent & unexpected. There is no way to tell until your baby is gone.
Are there any products that help prevent SIDS?
Answer:
I believe that if you fear your child is at risk of SIDS. talk to your pediatrician and have your child evaluated. I think they spend a couple nights in the hospital, and if they show signs of stopping breathing and lack what ever it is that is suppose to start them breathing again, there is something they can do .. They send you home with a little breathing alarm attached to your child, and if they don't breathe for so many seconds, the alarm sounds, alerts the parents, and they arouse the child until they breath. They eventually outgrow it.
At what age are infants usually affected by SIDS?
Its hard to tell, it can occur at any time really in infancy. After 2-3 months though when the baby can support its head/lift up onto their arms the chances significantly decrease. Until then just watch the baby closely-don't have loose blankets/pillows in the crib, make sure they're sleeping on their back (its okay if they roll themselves over, just gently nudge them back to their back if it makes you too nervous).
Can SIDS occur while baby is held by parent?
Back in 1959, Doctors didn't know much about SIDS. What we know now is that SIDS is not survivable. You most likely had an apnea event, you stopped breathing and started breathing again. There is no way to revive a SIDS baby. You were lucky but there is no such thing as a SIDS survivor, unless you are referring to a parent who has survived the loss of their baby.
No, babies do not survive SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome).
They cannot survive or it wouldn't be sudden infant death.

I disagree. I am a SIDS survivor. When I was 2 months old, my 9 yo brother was watching me while my mom cooked dinner. He yelled, mom, mom, she's turning blue! My mom came, picked me up, patted me on the back and I started breathing again. She went back to cooking and again my brother yelled, mom, mom, she's turning blue. She took me to the hospital, where they said I survived crib death, now called SIDS. This was in 1959.
Many children have survived turning blue for reasons that were not explained, or explainable, at the time. By definition, sudden infant death syndrome is how we explain actual deaths after we rule out all known causes. As we get smarter, the category gets smaller, since we can explain a lot more of the causes of babies turning blue than we could when you and I were young. This will keep happening, and someday, with any luck, we'll find out what's killing the others and learn to treat it, too. Glad you're still around, though!
I also disagree. I have survived SIDS. Ten minutes after i was born, in 1993, i died in my aunties arms, and i do not know how they revived me. But i do know that i was to lay at an angle where my head was almost facing the floor and my feet were to the ceiling, for 14 months. I didn't turn blue or anything, i just died. I do not have any medical problems that i know of, so far. And i hope i never will.
I HAVE A CHILD THAT SURVIVED SIDS SHE IS NOW 15,, SHE SUFFERED A BRAIN INJURY FROM THE ORDEAL,, AND WAS IN VERY CRITICAL CONDITION AFTER IT HAPPENED FOR THREE MONTHS,, BUT SHE IS AN AMAZING KID,,
Hi, it is possible to survive sids. One of my friends have and he is living very well!
What age are babies no longer at risk of sids?
A child's risk of dying from SIDS is greatly reduced after the first year of the child's life.
Your child is two years old and his penis gets swollen sometimes?
Call you Pediatrician and schedule an appointment right away. Those doctors are trained for treating children's problems.
SIDS is not caused by immunizations. Most children get their immunizations at about four months which coincides with the average age. But children without immunizations also die of SIDS. Answer There is absolutely no medical evidence that SIDS is caused by getting your child immunized. SIDS is still a very new topic in the medical field but the most common ways to help protect your baby from SIDS is to place your child on their back when sleeping and keep all extra blankets, pillows and stuffed animals out of their crib. Immunizations are an important way to help protect your baby from several diseases that can be dangerous even deadly to them. Their systems haven't built up the immunity needed to fight infections. Answer Excerpt from: healthboards.com I have done extensive research on vaccines after almost losing my daughter from a severe reaction to the DPT vaccine. I truly believe that vaccines are in direct relation with Sids. Many children die every year or are severly damaged in some form from vaccines. The word has to be spread that they are very dangerous. I would be very interested in finding out from parents who have lost there children just how soon before they were given shots. Parents really need to research the facts on vaccines. You would be very surprised the actual facts of what your exposing your children to. PLEASE DO RESEARCH BEFORE YOU MAKE THE DECISION TO GIVE VACCINES. VISIT:
Answer2: Much research is still being down to find the causes of SIDS, why a healthy baby just fails to wake up one day. So far contributing factors like smoking and the position of the baby has been linked to causes, but no one specific things has been said to be the cause of all crib death.
I do believe that 18 month old babies can die from SIDS- I think that the medical community now refers to it as SUDS or SUDC Sudden Unexplained Death of a Child. My son died from SIDS at 2 months 4 days and in the 2 years since then I have met many other families going through my nightmare and one lost a 3 year old to SIDS/SUDC so yes, it can happen to toddlers and older- it's just less common.
Yes, children can die from SIDS at 18 months old. I know of a case where the child was almost two years old (22 months). They still had the same autopsy reports and were unexplained deaths, "SIDS". It is very rare , but unfortunately can still happen.
on Thursday august 11th my husband and I put are son to bed who was 18 months and 25 days and when we checked on him before we went to go to bed he was already gone he had just laid down an hour before that my husband and I have replayed that night a thousand times and we have to settle for the reason they gave us which was sids.
How much does a six year old weigh?
It depends on their height really- i am not a doctor. But the rough idea I have in mind is about 4 to 5 stones. The obese weight is 6 stones. The skinny weight is 2 stones. But six year olds should not worry about weight

'''Infants should get fed 5 times a day. Try feeding them milk, water, and baby formula. You feed infants to keep them strong and healthy. Just like how we feed ourselves. Milk keeps the infants strong just like food keeps humans strong.'''
