When they lived in Lehi, Kody lived in one home with Meri, Janelle, and Christine, who each had their own apartments within the home. Robyn lived in a rental duplex nearby. Now that they live in Las Vegas, each wife has her own home, and Kody spends every fourth night with each wife.

Kody Brown has 13 biological children and 3 more from Robyn's previous marriage to make a total of 16.

Robyn offered to be Meri's surrogate and carry a child for her and Kody, because of Meri's difficulty in bearing children after the birth of their daughter, Mariah, age 16.

Kody Brown's parents Genielle and Winn Brown (and Janelle's mom Sheryl) live on a ranch just outside of Lovell, Wyoming. There is quite a large group of members of the Apostolic United Brethren (the church the Brown family belongs to) in Lovell.

The details of the Brown family members financial situation is not public information, however it was clear that each sister wife faced her own challenges to get financing for their homes. Robyn, the fourth wife, worked with a credit repair company to improve credit rating and to eventually qualify for a mortgage. She has spoken openly about debt carried over from her previous marriage.

Janelle has always worked outside the home, and managed her home and operations on her own.

It is not clear how Christine and Meri were able to qualify for their loans. Income from the family reality show probably helps, but it is usually never as people speculate.

The Sister Wives wear elbow length or long sleeves because that is their personal or religious standard of modesty. Most polygamous groups have very conservative modesty standards and do not wear tight or revealing clothing, including shorts, tank tops, or short sleeves.

Meri Brown is 42 in Summer 2013. As Kody Brown's first wife, Meri played a critical role in determining the foundation principles that would drive the family, including the acceptance of additional wives into the relationship.

Yes, all of Janelle's children were fathered by Kody.

It has never been mentioned on the show. As they have never mentioned the kids visiting their dad, I assume he does not have partial custody of them.

Meri is the only wife legally married to Kody as she was the first wife he married. The others he is married to in spirit

As the Browns from Sister Wives have at least 7 licensed drivers in the family, they own and have shown several cars on the show. Robyn had a minivan, Janelle drove a Chevy Suburban, Kody drove a Lexus convertible. There were some older sedans driven by the teenagers and some other SUV's as well. On a couple episodes they have rented large vans for road trips.

There are some words written in red pen at the top of Robyn's mirror. Not all the words can be made out, but the last part of the first line says "for a job that is close to" and the last part says "I am so happy about it!"

Yep! The Brown Family from Sister Wives is currently filming Season 2 and working out some of the legal problems that have arisen from the show.

In Utah he worked in advertising sales, but now in Nevada he is working on getting into Real Estate and opening a gym.

To become a sister wife, you must marry a man that is already married to someone else. You would need to find and contact a family or religious organization that believes in and performs polygamous marriages (also called "plural marriages"). This can be difficult since polygamy is illegal in the US, Canada, and Europe, but with some good online searching, they can be found. Typically in western countries polygamy is practiced for religious reasons (in Africa and Asia it is usually just a custom) so you would probably have to convert to the religion before being considered eligible for entering a polygamous relationship and becoming a sister wife.

Sister wives join families either through the courting of the husband or by expressing to the family that they are interested in joining. Some polygamous groups also believe in arranged marriages. It all just depends on the custom of the family or group.
