The "metal thing" I believe you are referring to are called "bearings", they make your wheels go round! They are simple to remove and to install, but considered the "ghetto" way, no tools required. To remove, take the nut off the axel so you can remove the wheel, but do not fully remove the wheel. Pull it almost all the way off, yet still touching the axel of your truck. Then start to bend it at an angle. The tork and force from your pull will remove them. This is just one way, it can damage your bearing, but most likely you will be fine, I've done it for 10+ years with no problems.

To install a "metal thing" into your wheels is easy too. Lay the "metal thing" loose on to your axel of your truck. Then, lay your wheel over it onto the axel and just push down. It will pop right in. Then take it off and turn the wheel over and put in the other one (one bearing for each side of the wheel).

If you ever run threw water, are going slow, see rust on them or haven't replaced them in a while...do so. New bearings are priceless and feel so good when you are riding...smooth as butter! If you have the cash, get new wheels too, nothing like a smooth ride from new wheels and bearings...you can get blank wheels for $150$20 for a whole set and decent bearings for $10-$25....it is worth it!

To me, yes the ripstik is soooo much more fun. I love how it rides. It is so much more smooth than a skateboard. I've done both to be honest. i used to skateboard a lot and thought it wuz great until i learned how to ripstik. Then i knew i had to get one. so i got my my first ripstik and i got it in the sweet color blue. i ride it like everyday now and all of my friends have a ripstik too. Me and my friend have made up soo many beast tricks on our ripstiks. not to make fun of the skateboard or anything, its just my opinion.

It doesn't matter just choose which ones you like based on your style. If your a girl id go for the figher numbers. If your a competitive skater go for the 7.75's. If your just doing it for fun match the board size. In your case 8.

To put it simple a heel flip is where you kick your foot forward to do a 360 degree flip of the board. A kick flip on the other had is where you kick your foot backward to do a 360 degree flip of the board. It's that simple.

All different materials. Some are aluminium. Aluminium is light and it grinds well on ledges but it isn't very strong. Some are made from titanium which is vey strong but a little heavy. Most however are made from aluminium alloy which gives U a bit of everything.

Depends on what kind of skater you are or your size. Plan B boards tend to be smaller than Zero boards therefore good for a street skater who is into kickflipping stairs or nose sliding down hubbas. Zero's Tend to be bigger so therefore better for a larger skater or someone just beginning. A wider board will provide more balance, While it will flip slower. A skinnier board will flip faster, But will offer less balance.

I have the same question. I just grab a ruler and put it on my feet and find out i have the same shoe size and i thing a 7.5 inch board whould be cool if or u can go bigger to a 7.75 i might just do that lol

by "curve" do you mean turn with out lifting up the front wheels? to do this use your feet and legs to tilt the skateboard, but not so much that one side lifts up. This will turn the skateboard.

To do an ollie on a Tech Deck, you put your middle finger on the right side of the board (the edge) and your index finger in the middle. If you can't do it, use 3 fingers (index, middle, and ring) It helps. Ok so what you do is, is you push down with the finger on the right edge till the left wheels are off the ground, but the right edge isn't touching the ground. Then, you just kind of push the direction you want it to go (the left) until you feel it kind of "not sticking" to your hands. Then you go back down to the ground. It gets waterlogged, if it becomes waterlogged it does not pop as much, it sounds different and breaks alot easier. best to keep your decks out of the rain.
