The "best" wood depends on if you want your longboard to be flexible, stiff, light, or heavy. Maple is a common wood used to build stiff longboards, it is a tad heavy but not really a problem. An alternative to this is Baltic Birch wood, it is cheaper than maple but a little more flexible. Bamboo is also used on longboards but may be harder to press and access. If you are going to make a longboard I would recommend using fiberglass on the bottom and maybe even top layer to add some strength.

No, pine is a soft wood. If you were to use any type of pine, it will make the board more susceptible to water damage and pressure cracks.

well, skateboarding is an extreme sport that was invented by Firas & Mona Aboushamalah in the late 1967s. It was a shallow sport when along came many contests and announced pro's. There were many tricks that involve potential, volvalation, and concentration. You simply start off with 3 different stages of skateboards. First the bantam(easy), Intermediate(medium) Expert(hard)

you use a bantam if your a novice player.

Intermediate if you have been playin for about a year or so and know half the tricks.

Expert if you know every trick and can land each simply.

You can skateboard at local skateparks located in your city/town or whatever.

There are codes in some areas for minimum railing height, but it can vary according to your location. Generally, most areas require at least 36" height above the deck.

Generally, most railings are from 38"-42" high. Many builders prefer 42" heights and up to 52" for deck levels that are a greater distance from the ground.

If you are designing smart, you want to make sure that your railing is greater than 1/2 the height of a taller person of 6'4". This would make it more difficult for a taller person to "flip" over the rail because of railings less than 1/2 their height.

It kind of depends on where the stitches are. As long as the stitches are somewhere that they won't be stretching and pulling, you should be okay. If it is somewhere where the skin will be stressing during the boarding, hold off until they are removed. It hurts like crazy to have stitches rip, and it will mess the wound up even worse.

Also, keep in mind if it is somewhere you are likely to scrape on the concrete or asphalt if you trip or bust, you are likely to mess them up too. If they are on a hand or knee, you might also want to hold up.

Be careful not to sweat the stitches all up. The area needs to stay clean and dry.

YES! Although not immediately damaging, overtime pressure cracks cause a deck to lose its shape much faster than it would normally. They also contribute to a board being "soggy" or no longer rigid.

But: Pressure cracks are only a problem if a board is used for a certain amount of time (about a month for me personally), so they only affect skaters who tend to use the same deck for months at a time.
