Powder skis are skis that are developed specially for skiing in powder. This type of ski is particularly suited for experienced skiers who are likely to go off-piste.

Bowl skiing refers to skiing above the tree line. Usually higher altitude mountains that offer a "bowl" shape. There are no difined trails in a bowl.

FIS stands for Federation International du Ski, FIS points are given to competitors based on their performance in competitions.

The bindings come with installation instructions, but if you got used bindings that didn't come with instructions...

Quick question: are you putting these on new skis, or on skis that already have bindings on them? If they're old skis, remove the bindings already installed and use the old screw holes for the new bindings. If they're new skis, take them to a ski tech. You've got to drill holes in your skis and there are lots of calculations involved - how much you weigh, the skis being used and the way you ski determine where your boots should be on the ski.

It depends on how long but, ussual it last from 1min to 4min. It also depends if it stops or it is really slow.

I'd say that's true for a resort with very short lifts. Typical lifts takes considerably longer time than that.

It really depends on whether your talking about in the Olympics or referring to Nordic skiing as cross country skiing.

Nordic events

Ski jumping: is quite dangerous, but due to the steepness of the landing area, is not as dangerous as you might think.

Cross country skiing: carries very little dangers.

Combined event: carries the same dangers above.

Alpine events such as the slalom, downhill event, super giant slalom ect......

Often feature high speed crashes, this is very likely to injure any skier, so i would say that alpine skiing is more dangerous.

Extreme skiing is different from regular skiing in the particular length and steepness of the chosen mountains, with grades of at least one-hundred percent. More than anything, it follows the philosophy of pushing one's abilities in extreme conditions.

Take your boots to a ski/boot shop that sells the same brand. They can replace the heel piece, or at least order a replacement for you.

Double lens goggles don't fog up as easily and are more durable than single lens.

The largest lift served ski vertical in Europe as well as in the whole world is in Chamonix, France from the top of Aiguille du Midi. It's vertical is 2738 m.

The Saddlewood Chalet located in Breckenridge, Colorado charges between $995 and $1195 per night if you would like to spend your ski holiday at this location. You must stay a minimum of 5 or 6 nights, depending on the dates you choose.
