During what cycle of sleep does the body do most of its energy restoration?

The most restorative stage of sleep is NREM-3.

In a sleep cycle you progress through the stages:

  • Initial sleep induction: NREM-1 -> NREM-2 -> NREM-3
  • Full sleep cycle: NREM-3 -> NREM-2 -> NREM-1 -> REM -> NREM-1 -> NREM-2 -> NREM-3.

A full sleep cycle takes approximately 90 minutes, but the time you spend in each stage changes during the night. At first you spend more time in stage 3, but as your body rests it will spend more and more time in REM.

How many sleeping pills enough to death and witch?

That's a stupid question....It can be answered easily but, who wants to tell you what it takes to commit suicide? But, just to indulge you, maybe you're just curious, the answer to your question would be HALCION (Triazolam) which is a benzodiazepine or sedative hypnotic.Prescriptions for HALCION should be written for short-term use (7-10 days) and it should not be prescribed in quantities exceeding a 1-month supply, that means 30 tablets in 1 month.

Death could be induced at 0.25 mg per tablet x 45-60 tablets (powder blue, elliptical, scored, imprinted HALCION 0.25):

PS... Or you could take 0.25 x 100 tablets and just end up a brain dead vegetable and still remain in this life!!! That's always a great way to go on for everyone!!!!!

Anythings possible, I wouldn't chance something like that.................

What is tubular sclerosis?

Tuberous sclerosis complex (TSC) is a genetic disorder that causes tumors to form in many different organs, primarily in the brain, eyes, heart, kidney, skin and lungs. You will see it referred to both as tuberous sclerosis (TS) and tuberous sclerosis complex (TSC). The term TSC is used in scientific literature to distinguish tuberous sclerosis complex from Tourette's syndrome. The disease affects some people severely, while others are so mildly affected that it often goes undiagnosed. Some people with TSC experience developmental delay, mental retardation and autism. However, there are also many people with TSC living independent, healthy lives who enjoy challenging professions such as doctors, lawyers, educators and researchers. Is there a known disorder for twirling your hair pulling the knots out in your sleep?

No, it's just a bad habit like biting your nails. I know many people (especially when they are under stress) that will twirl their hair until their scalp hurts and sometimes it leads to a small bald spot. One of my girlfriends was getting married and she was so nervous she ended up with 5 bald spots the size of quarters. She wasn't twisting her hair, the hair just fell out that way from the stress. This may drive you crazy, but here is a solution. Back in the 1950s (I grew up in that time) the girls would pin curl their hair and then put a scarf over their head (bandana) and tie it in front to keep the pin curls from coming out during the night. This may work for you but it may take a couple of weeks. Also, find out if there is something stressful going on in your life and if so try to do the best you can to resolve it. Good luck.

There is a known disorder for hair pulling called trichotillomania. See related link.

Can you take sleeping pills and birth control pills together?

Usually YES. Consult your pharmacist or OB/GYN to be safe, but I know of no commonly prescribed sleeping pills or birth control pills that interfere with each other.

On the other hand, some people taking Ambien or similar sleeping pills have supposedly had sex or done other things such as sleepwalk or carry on a conversation after taking Ambien... and not remembered it. I'm not making this up. It is well-documented.

So... take your birth control pill sometime BEFORE you take your sleeping pill. ;)

Is it safe to take Vicodin with a sleeping pill?

NARCOTIC PAIN MEDICINE & SLEEPING PILLSVICODIN IS A NARCOTIC PAIN reliever, not one of the strongest, but it is a CNS (central nervous system) depressant. As for the sleeping pill, it makes a difference if it is a barbiturate (Halcion, Chloral hydrate, which are also CNS depressants) OR a hypnotic (Ambien, Rozeram), which are not CNS depressants. You need to be VERY careful if you combine two drugs that are both CNS depressants. You should ask your doctor OR call ANY pharmacy and ask to speak to a pharmacist. Give them the names of the medications and dosages, and they will tell you if there is a problem, (called a DRUG/DRUG INTERACTION). Many times, pharmacists have more up to date, accurate information about drugs that CAN be taken together and drugs that can NOT be taken together.
