Ben Franklin has been the subject of numerous stamp issues. You will need to consult the catalogs and do some research. There are lots of stamps issued and they vary in value from almost nothing to some nice values.

Most libraries will have a copy of Scott's Postage Stamp Catalog of the World. First of all, you have to identify the specific stamp or card. That in itself can be a daunting task, but most of the catalogs are well illustrated with lots of information. Once you know what item you have, the catalog will provide a set of prices that can be used to estimate value.

There are a few places where one can get personal postage stamps. There are specialist websites such as Photo stamps and picture it postage that offer this service.

These sold for 33 cents and are still worth that amount as postage. You can only use them for postage for destinations inside the US.

39 cents in 2006 and that is what they are still worth-- you would have to add 3 cents additional postage.

20 cents

Scott #938 Most used US postage stamps are worth 20 cents, the minimum amount required to catalog and stock the stamps. Unused will always be worth at least their face value and this Mint stamp has a catalog value of 20 cents. Special cancellations and different values are likely to be worth more. Consult a postage stamp catalog, usually available at your local library for exact identification and catalog values.

These are worth the first-class rate, which is now 45 cents. However, if the rate goes up, their value will go up to match -- they will always be worth the first-class rate . That is why they are called "forever" stamps. (6/12)

Soak in hot water, but this gets rid of the gum on the back. To partially preserve the gum you would need a lifter device sold at stamp shops. The device is essentially a humidor, a closed container that has a very humid environment. Another item that will sometimes work is to put them in the freezer. Once they've been in there for a couple hours, they can sometimes be separated.

This is a common stamp which is easily obtainable. No stamp in good condition is worthless to a collector.

As for selling common stamps-- dealers do not buy them one at a time. They get them by buying collections or accumulations of thousands of

stamps. They usually have all the common stamps they can sell because they get them along with the scarcer stamps.

A lot of different Bicentennial covers were issued. The value depends on which one, and condition. On average you can pick them up for anywhere from .99cents to a couple of bucks. Again, without knowing which one, it's pretty much impossible to give a clearer answer.

Philatelists usually like any type of stamp. Some specialize in Italian stamps, others World Wide. If they are not interested in it for their own collection, perhaps they can trade it for something they do like.

That could be a number of stamps Scott number US 1510, or 1520 as it was released in many version. It has a minimal value and can be purchased for 50 cents in mint condition and 15 cents used.

Two stamps fit this description, one worth much more than the other. If you have the one that belongs to Lousiana Purchase series (1908, 2 on either side of Jefferson portrait) then it's $27 for mint $2 for used.

If it's a small stamp, with 2 at the bottom of the stamp, it was issued btwn 1954 and 68 and worth about .20cents mint and used.

Keep in mind these prices are for stamps in excellent condition.

THE 1993 US Elvis stamp was the best-selling commemorative stamp of all time, with over 517 million sold as singles or in sheets. Many Elvis stamps issued in limited editions are extremely valuable, but not the US stamp.

Wel on Ebay the gold stamp can fetch about 5.00 to 12.00 dollars. But many other places will sell them from anywhere between 8.00 to 10.00 dollars. But remember that the gold stamp isn't issued by the post office but by a private company!

Scott US number 1848 with a face value of 5 cents. It can be purchased for 50 cents in mint condition. A used copy is 15 cents. Which means you would be lucky to get any money from a dealer for them.

The US has issued dozens of stamps in 1922. You will have to completely identify the stamp to find a value. A catalog, available in most libraries can help you determine the value. Chances are a dealer won't purchase a single stamp unless it is worth more than a dollar or two.

Canada has issued many 5 cent stamps. You will need to consult a Canadian catalog and do some research to identify which stamp this is. There are lots of stamps issued and they vary in value from almost nothing to some nice values.

If it hasn't been cancelled (used), then it's worth a minimum of 6 cents US.

Beyond that it's pointless to speculate, since there have been a huge variety of US 6 cent stamps, and the value depends on which particular one you're talking about, when it was issued, what its condition is, and other factors.

If you want to buy just one it will probably cost you from 10 to 25 cents at a stamp store for a mint or used copy

If you want to order it by mail, you would have to pay postage and handling in addition.

Dealers get them as part of larger lots for almost nothing per stamp- say 65% face if mint and 1/2 cent if used.

It is the kind of stamp I use on letters if unused or give to kids if used.
