What food moves the quickest through the stomach?

Most foods that are still alive - for example, a live salmon (although the average human mouth cannot fit such an animal) would be far faster than a very inanimate cupcake - this is because the salmon would most likely attempt to swim down the person's throat while as a cupcake (not being alive) would simply sit and wait as the body digests it.

How do you get rid of sharp pain on lower side of stomach while running?

The pain on the right side of the abdomen is usually trapped gas and you may want to monitor your breathing with your stride. Figure out if you are inhaling when one foot (eg the right foot) strikes the ground and then exhaling when the left foot strikes the ground. Then consciously switch so that you reverse the pattern, this will help. But if the pain doesn't go away, slow your breathing down and take deeper breathes and let them out more slowly. Breath in the nose and the mouth while you are running to ensure you're taking in a goodly amount of air and not a short, shallow breath. Exhale slowly through the nose. This generally works for me if changing my strike/breath pattern hasn't alleviated the pain. Too, sometimes forcing yourself to belch will help. And absolutely don't try to hold in a fart while you are running. Just let it out, quietly if you can control it, but let it out.

What are the functions of the following organs in the digestive process the mouth esophagus stomach small intestine large intestine and rectum?

Time to act like a kid. >o

Mouth; the teeth do mechanical digestion by chomping on the food. Salivary glands help moisten the food to make it easier for swallowing.

Meh. So basically the mouth makes the food easier for swallowing.

Esophagus. Think peristalsis. o-O;; Like convulsions in a way. So the food goes down to the stomach.

Stomach. Pepsin, hydrochloric acid, all the good stuff. It mashes the food up so the body can absorb it later on. :P Chyme.

Small intestine's covered in villi and microvilli to expand the surface area to absorb food particles. Chemical digestion.

Large intestine. The basic of it is to absorb water from the leftover food and...err...that makes...sh!t.

Rectum is the thing that you push out to get rid of the sh!t, and to store it, I think. :P

Sitting on the toilet for two long makes your rectum looser and...yeah. o-O

Anal s3x. :D

Those are the minimum basics. xP

If symptoms persist, it's advisable to consult a healthcare professional for proper diagnosis and treatment.

Can salivary enzymes function in the acidic environment of the stomach?

No, enzymes like salivary amylase will denature when subjected to the low pH of the gastric juices. This is why there are similar, but slightly different enzymes released in the stomach. Some (like pepsin) are only activated through the high hydrochloric acid concentration.

How do you get rid of bad bloating which causes you to look like you have a really big stomach which shows a lot because you have an otherwise slim figure?

You may have a food sensitivity that is causing the bloating. You can get tested for this by a doctor or just try cutting out different foods till you find what it is. I used to get bloated all the time but have found cutting down on foods like pasta and bread have helped aswell as not eating Indians as they used to make my belly go huge even from a little bit. I also drink a probiotic yoghurt drink each day which balances the bacteria in your gut and haven't been bloated since.
