Suboxone, however is an opioid though, not an opiate. I would have to say that if it's Suboxone (Buprenorphine), it would not be detected.

Suboxone (buprenorphine & naloxone) can stay in your system up to 48 - 72 hours. As long as it's in your system, the buprenorphine and the oxycodone will be competing with each other for opiate receptors in your brain; thus reducing the effect of oxycodone. Best to wait at least the half life of buprenorphine (20-48 hrs.) before taking the oxy.

I am not sure what is wrong...I take both of these drugs, and I still feel my mind racing 100 miles per hour. I am tired, and have no energy to do things, until I take the suboxone. Once I take it...I feel that I can function....I have wondered and am searching to find out if these two drugs are compatable. Could anyone advise...if they know? Thank you!

Absolutely not! don't ever mix Suboxone with a benzodiazepine, if you do. There's a huge chance of respiratory depression or death!

When I took suboxone i was violently ill.. i was puking for 2 days straight.. my doctor tried to lower my dose then raise my dose.. nothing worked.. nomatter what i threw up constantly.. he changed it to subutex and i still puked.. i dont know what will work for me.

mETHADONE AND sUBOXONE ARE 2 COMPLETELY DIFFERENT DRUGS. tHE ONLY SIMILARITY IS THE FACT THAT THEY ARE BOTH OPIATE BLOCKERS. SUBOXONE IS A COMBO OF NALAXONE AND BUPRINORPHINE AND METHADONE IS,WELL, METHADONE.

mETHADONE WILL GET YOU VERY HIGH AND IN MY OPINION LEADS TO USING OTHER DRUGS IN COMBINATION WITH IT. AFTER TAKING SUBOXONE FOR A WEEK YOU WILL NOT GET A BUZZ OFF OF IT ANYMORE AND YOU ARE OPEN TO HAVING A NORMAL LIFE AGAIN WITHOUT THE CONSTANT CRAVINGS FOR OTHER DRUGS. Basically anything other then opiate pain killers and benzodiazepines. If you try mixing other opiates with Suboxone, then your body will enter immediate painful withdraws.. not to fun! if you also try mixing benzos with Suboxone, then there's a huge chance of you overdosing or going into respiratory depression. DON'T TRY IT!

Suboxone(Bupenorphine/Naloxone has different effects on different people but it definitly does not block the effect weed gives you. If anything combining the two gets you Loaded so be careful!!

Your doctor probably weaned you off the Methadone too fast before switching you over to Suboxone. Methadone takes a LONG time to withdrawal from. I would definitely tell your doctor that you're still feeling withdrawals from the Methadone so he can help you.

I can answer this question from personal experience. I'm a struggling recovering opiate addict and am now prescribed to Suboxone. I'm prescribed 4mg in the morning and 4mg in the early evening, so 8mg a day. I know that if I wait for 24 hours after taking my last dose of Suboxone I can feel about 60%-70% of the oxy. If I continue to do them, the amount that I am able to feel it goes up. After the third day of being off my Suboxone I can finally feel the oxy 100%.

the best way to avoid vomiting is to no eat a few hours before or after you take suboxone. on the other hand, if you haven't built up a tolerance to it yet, then you're pretty much guaranteed to vomit. in my experiences, it only took about four 8mg pills to where i didn't vomit anymore

I've been on 24mg of suboxone a day for three days now the last sub I took was at 7 30 at night the next day I ived two bags of d and got a little high around 7 30 I did two more and was completely f up. So I would say 12 hrs

Good question! For several years, I was addicted to opiates until I came across that "wonder drug" suboxone (buprenorphine). After getting on suboxone, the cravings were gone, there were no withdrawals, and everything felt great. However, I was only supposed to be on suboxone for 6 months. After 6 months, my doctor told me that he would taper me down over a period of time... 2 1/2 years passed! There are a lot of terrible side effects to being on suboxone for so long, such as lowered cognitive abilities, loss of sex drive, depression, and a bunch of other yucky things. Finally, I made an independent decision and checked into the hospital myself, to detox and finally be rid of suboxone.

There was nothing too complicated to it. Since I was taking 12mg a day, it took 8 days, and it consisted of a medically-supervised taper, where you're provided with ant-anxiety medications, vitamins, clonidine, and other meds to keep you from feeling in pain, or overly anxious. All in all, I was glad I did it! I felt like a slave to suboxone for 2 1/2 years, and that medication is really expensive too!

I urge anyone who's been on suboxone for a long time to consider checking-in and tapering-off under medical supervision. I feel like I got my whole life back!

P.S. Not every hospital's detox unit provides a buprenorphine detox. I live in San Francisco, but I had to drive all the way to Los Angeles to get to the nearest one. It's worth it, though.

Most of the time they will not because of it being for addicts and all. My blue cross insurance didn't want to cover for a long time. I finally told my doctor I couldn't afford it unless my insurance paid for some of it. So he then changed the reason for prescribing it to me from "opiate dependency" to " migraines." He also called my insurance company and told them I had to have this for migraine headaches and they have covered it ever since. Insurance companies are always looking for an excuse to not pay out and if they can label you as a drug addict who just needs more drugs they will do it. So just get your doc to call them and tell you need it for something else besides opiate dependancy.

If you are a chronic Suboxone user, there will be little to no side effects if you drink alcohol, except you might get sleepier than you normally would. After I quit heroin and started taking Suboxone, I became a raging alcoholic. I was drinking a liter of vodka a day, on top of my Suboxone. However, Suboxone is bad for your liver, and so is alcohol, so drinking while you're on Suboxone is very hard on your liver.

Buprenorphine will not be present unless looked for specifically. Say you got sick and was taking NyQuil and didn't want to mix your klonopin, then get someone else's urine.

I used to play that game....but you know what really works.....not screwing up and taking other drugs your are not supposed to take. I am on suboxone as well and I know how easy it is to get complacent because you feel so normal. But since you're an addict, you may find getting honest with yourself so you have nothing to worry about at any time. Be happy to take UA's.

If you only took one dose of adderall then you could probably drink enough water (add Vitamin B complex to make urine yellow) and get the level down low enough to pass.

All about what's more important to you. Honesty feels SO much better though. I know I'm counterdicting myself back and forth because I have been in your situation and I know what addiction does/is. I don't want you to lose your suboxone, but your playing with fire.

not really, but they do tell you not to mix suboxone with downers because it lowers your blood pressure but i've done it a million times and been fine. but for some people, suboxone makes it really hard for them to sleep, so it might interact that way, maybe making it harder to sleep. but then again the lunesta could get rid of the insomnia from suboxone. basically, its not one of those deadly drug combinations. so while it may effect you different than someone else, its not life-threatening to take together.

Saboxone is to ease withdraw from narcotic's. If anyone is snoting saboxone, they need more help then saboxone can offer. GET HELP
