Who are the official persons involved in table tennis and what are their duties?

Table tennis has an umpire, an assistant umpire, a timekeeper and a stroke counter.

The assistant umpire often also acts as the timekeeper and stroke counter.

For each match there is an umpire, whose primary duty is to decide the result of each

rally. Where the umpire is officiating alone, his is the final decision on all questions of fact that arise during a match, including decisions on all edge balls and on all aspects of

service.

An assistant umpire is solely responsible for decisions on edge balls at the side of the table nearest to him, and he has the same power as the umpire to decide the legality of a player's service action, whether a player obstructs the ball and some of the conditions for a let.

The timekeeper is required to monitor the duration of practice, of play in a game, of intervals between games and of any authorised suspension of play, and his decision is final on the time that has elapsed.

Stroke counting is required when the expedite system is in operation and the stroke

counter's duty is solely to count the return strokes of the receiver and his decision on

this question of fact cannot be overruled.

Official color of table tennis table?

The colour is important because it needs to provide a good contrast between the floor, walls and background colours of the playing area.

Traditionally, the surface of a table tennis table was green or grey, but to make them better for television audiences, there was a period of experimentation with different colours during the early 1990s.

A Matt blue colour was eventually chosen, primarily because it complements the (reddish) colour of the floor covering which is now used for all the top tournaments.

The International Table Tennis Federation now only authorise blue or green tables.

How big is a ping-pong ball?

Your balls can be all different sizes. But generally they are huge. They normally can fit snugly in your palm/hand. But if they are smaller, it is probably nothing, just like dicks lengths can differ from person to person, so can the size of your balls. However, if they are swollen, hard, or EXTREMELY HUGE, it would be safe to go to the doctor and have him examine it were he would suck them for a test. If you do feel a bump on them, it could be cancer so it is serious that you get checked! But to be on the safe side don't let anyone suck them!!!

What are the materials in table tennis?

The international rules specify that the game is played with a light 2.7 gram, 40 mm diameter ball. The rules say that the ball shall bounce up 24--26 cm when dropped from a height of 30.5 cm on to a standard steel block thereby having a coefficient of restitution, of 0.89 to 0.92.

Players are equipped with a laminated wooden racket covered with rubber on one or two sides depending on the grip of the player. The official ITTF term is "racket", though "bat" is common in Britain, and "paddle" in the U.S.

The table is 2.74 m (9 ft) long, 1.52 m (5 ft) wide, and 76 cm (30 inch) high with a masonite (a type of hardboard) or similarly manufactured timber, layered with a smooth, low-friction coating.

How do you keep score in a tennis match?

Score keeping in bowling is as simple as adding up the number of pins that you knock down. As each player takes a turn they try to knock down all ten of the pins. Each player is given up to two opportunities to do this. The player will roll their bowling ball (find a bowling ball) down the bowling alley towards the pins in an attempt to knock pins over. The pins that are knocked down on this first attempt are counted and recorded. The pinsetter at the bowling alley will remove the pins still standing, clear the leveled pins, then return the standing pins back in place. The bowlers ball is returned and the bowler gets a second attempt at knocking the pins over. The bowler again rolls their ball down the alley to try and knock any remaining pins down. The number of pins knocked down on this second attempt is then recorded. The bowlers score is then the pins from the first roll, plus the pins from the second roll, then added to any previous score.

Example: X | 9/ | 81 | X | X | 53...
If you strike, you get 10 pins for that ball, plus the total pins for your next two shots added to your first frame. So since this person struck they automatically get 10, then they knocked over a total of 10 pins on the second two shots. Their total for the first frame would be 20. The fourth frame would add 10 pins for the initial strike, then 10 pins for the first ball and another 5 for the second ball. That frame would add 25 pins to your score.
If you spare, you add the number of pins you knocked down for that frame plus the pins on your next shot. So the second frame has 10 for the initial frame and adds 8 for a total of 18 pins added to the frame before it.
If you open you arent awarded any extra pins, you only add the number of pins you knocked down.

So if you score the beginning of this game, for each frame consecutively, you get:

X | 9/ | 81 | X | X | 53...

20 | 38 | 47 | 72 | 90 | 98...

What equipment do you need in table tennis?

Jogging pass:

Split the participants into two groups. Each group will be on half of the court and each group will have their own tchoukball. Have the groups jog around in their space (does not have to be only around the perimeter). The group will then pass the ball to each other as they're randomly moving around. After the group becomes comfortable with this, add another ball, and another.

Tchoukball "lay-ups":

Split the participants into two groups. Each group will get into a line facing a frame (they will be lined up on either side of the same frame). One line is responsible for throwing the tchoukballs and the other for catching the balls after they are shot. The first thrower will make a shot, and then move to the end of the catching line. The first catcher will catch the rebound, and then pass the ball to the next person in the shooting line (the first catcher will then move to the end of the shooting line). After doing this for a while and going through the lines a couple times, switch the catching and shooting lines so that participants may practice throwing from the other side of the rebounding surface.
