Terk (spelt with an E) is a girl. Rather obvious as her mom says, "Come on little lady." to her. She is also voiced by Rosie O'Donnell.
The obvious answer is the Garden of Eden. There was a religious element in one of the television episodes , where the Ape Man came to the aid of Missionary Nuns- who were played by none other than Diana Ross and the Supremes-= a change of habit indeed! In the novel there were more explicit religious angles- such as his auto-circumcision with a hunting knife- not for tv obviously- it was never entirely explained why he did this, a most un-natural action.(from an evolutionary point of view).
The American first edition of "Tarzan of the Apes" will have "A.C. McClurg" written on the spine and title page. Other reprints will have "A.L. Burt" or "Grosset & Dunlap" written on the spine and title page. There are 3 different states of the first edition for this title. The website, erbfirsts.com has photos and more information on this and all other Edgar Rice Burroughs first edition books.
As far as I know, there is no new animated Tarzan film in the making. But if you're asking if another Tarzan film was ever made after the original animated feature, the answer is yes.
There were two sequels made. The first, "Tarzan & Jane," came out in 2003. It's a movie that takes place after the end of the original movie. There was a TV series which was called "The Legend of Tarzan," and it ran from 2001 to 2003. Most episodes took place after the end of the first movie, with Jane and her father living in the jungle with Tarzan and his ape family. The second sequel, "Tarzan II," came out in 2005. This was a prequel which explored the childhood of Tarzan more fully.
According to the Internet Movie Database (IMDB), there is going to be a non-animated and non-Disney Tarzan movie opening in Germany in October 2013.
i think it was belong lambogini company so what did you say it right or wrong
Tantor!
And in the language of the apes, it means... ELEPHANT!!
Same reason that Jane doesn't have hairy legs. ;-)
The images of the fictional character Tarzan, like all fictional characters, are a product of their age. The fashion when Tarzan comics and movies were popular was for men to be clean-shaven.
According to the Tarzan novels, he learned to shave using his father's knife he found in his parent's cabin.
Because Jane doesn't like it
There was a very nice barber in the forest.
Brenda Joyce took the role of Jane, after Maureen O'Sullivan had stopped playing Jane. I wonder if the asker was really wondering who was the body double for the underwater scene in Tarzan and His Mate (1934). Josephine McKim, an Olympic swimmer, appeared nude in the underwater scene.
I see it on eBay from time to time. Not sure if it is legit?
The NBC TV series from 1966 to 1968 starred Ron Ely as an erudite Tarzan who returned from the US to his jungle home.
The French TV series (Tarzán) ran from 1991 to 1994 and starred Wolf Larson.
In a very real sense, Tarzan swings through the same warped net of the time-honored ( but have you ever met one?) idea of the Noble Savage which dates to French writers such as Voltaire. Came along Charles Darwin and evolution, abandoned child- of Noble Birth, adopted and raised by apes. they are pushing the red line here! obviously Burroughs was familiar with evolution and in effect worked a novel around it- there was, of course the famous Monkey Trial ( Scopes) in the twenties. Tarzan originally made the print scene in l9l2, better known for the Titanic disaster, and more positively the introduction of the Speed Graphic camera
=The chimp's name is Terk and Terk is a girl.=
Sci-fi author Edgar Rice Burroughs' Tarzan of the Apes, his first Tarzan story, was published in the year 1914.
I am uncertain in saying that the story was first revealed to the public in a magazine publication in the year 1912.
