There are no main server on terraria so I would suggest google searching "terraria servers" and see what comes up. I have done this and been on multiplayer.

Both require you to defeat the boss in that world's corrupted area, either the Eater of Worlds in The Corruption, or the Brain of Cthuhlu in The Crimson. Yes you can, just make sure you install the game to it. Although it's a small game I'd recommend any storage device of at least 2GB. You might also experience some slow down in the game because flash drives aren't as fast as your computer or console's hard drive.
