Yes, apparently so, just back from Paris (12 Nov 2011) and visited the cemetery Pere LaChaise basically to see the grave of Jim Morrison and after I saw it I bumped into a rather eccentric cemetery staff member at the Oscar Wilde grave which was getting refurbished & would be open on 16 Nov 2011, who said he had worked there for roughly about 20 odd years, the staff member said that Jim Morrison's remains had been moved to Miami in 1998, after complaints from his family and his common law wife's family, because of the way that the grave was being disrespected by his 'fans', leaving cigarettes, beer and chipping bits of his gravestone off as souvenirs, I was completely shocked when he said that, it's the first time I heard it ever!!
