addendum: I don't know about Ray's book, but during an interview Robby Krieger was asked this question and he clearly said that Jim Morrison had hit him in the eye.

not likely...he died of heart failure which can not be seen without cutting him open and they would have known if it really was Jim or not.but in my opinion he is in fact dead but im not Jim so this dude is right only Jim can honestly answer that!

I assume you are referring to left or right handed doors. This is the swing of the door. If you put your back to the hinged side frame of a door and the swing is to the left than it is a left handed door. With your back to the hinged side of the frame and it swings to your right side than it is a right handed door.
