The maps on Borderlands are huge, you most use cars to get from one end to the other. The over all game is huge, but the first map isn't SO BIG, but the second one is huge!

I never got a booklet in my copy of elder scrolls 3 morrowind how does the persuade feature work?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

When you enter the Persuade feature a box will appear that has the following actions listed on it: Admire, Intimidate, Taunt, Bribe 10 Gold, Bribe 100 Gold, Bribe 1,000 Gold. The Admire action puts your Speechcraft skill to the test. When you Admire someone and you succeed, their disposition toward should become more positive, and they'll like you more, therefore they'll give you more info when you want it. However, if you fail the Admire action, they'll start to hate you more. The Intimidate Action scares people into liking you, I think (I've never used it, so I'm not sure). This also uses the Speechcraft skill to determine your chances of success, just like every persuade action does. Taunting allows you to Taunt the NPC into attacking you. This way, if you want to pick a fight with someone you won't get into trouble by the guards since you're basically using self-defense. You'll know when someone is about to attack you because you taunted them because they'll say "That does it," and the only thing you'll be able to say is "Good-bye". The NPC will then attack you, and you can kill the person legally. The Bribe actions are the easiest to do, although they require money. Everyone on Vvardenfell likes money, and bribing them is an excellent way to get people to like you if you can't Admire people because your Speechcraft skill is too low. If you Bribe someone with 10 Gold, you have a low chance of success. If you bribe them with 100 Gold, you have a good chance of getting them to accept your money and ultimately start liking you more. Then if you give them 1,000 Gold they will almost always accept, but you'll lose 1K in the process. It's cheaper to just work your way up with 100 Gold Bribes. If you ever want your money back from Bribing people you can Taunt the person into attacking you, and then loot the money off their dead body.

Your speachcraft skill i believe helps the chance that they will accept your money. I have high speachcraft and i get the toughest nuts to crack with just 10-50 Drakes

What is the story line of Morrowind?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

The story begins many many years in the past, the Chimer race, lead by the hero Indoril Nerevar, fought against the Dwemer, and their leader Dumac. As the Chimer neared victory, the Dwemer suddenly all disappeared, due to their chief architect Kagrenac's tampering with the Heart of Lorkhan, the heart of the very god that created Nirn, the world the games take place on.

The 'profane tools' Kagrenac created to manipulate the Heart's power, then fell into the Chimer's hands. Nerevar's advisor, Voryn Dagoth, believed they should be destroyed. Nerevar left them in his hands while he consulted with the tribunal, Almalexia, Vivec and Sotha Sil.

There are some inconsistencies in the next part of the story. Some say Dagoth became corrupted by the heart, fought and killed Nerevar, and was driven away by the Tribunal. Some say the Tribunal killed Nerevar out of greed, Dagoth failing to avenge him. Dagoth Ur (as he later called himself) confirms, at least, that he fought Nerevar. Perhaps the truth lies somewhere in the middle. But either way, the Tribunal broke a solemn vow to Azura not to use the tools, and turned themselves into living gods. Azura appeared to chastise them, and the Chimer race became blackened into the Dunmer people who you will see during the game. She said that Nerevar would be reborn, and would punish them.

Though the Tribunal used their new powers for good, working against the evil of the heart weakened them over time. They had to return to the heart chamber occasionally to replenish their power. However, Dagoth Ur had survived, ambushed the three and drove them from the red mountain chain, taking two of the tools from them. Without access to the heart, the Tribunal's powers waned further.

Back to modern times, a prisoner was delivered to the island of Vvardenfel, as he, or she, met the first two criteria for Nerevar's rebirth, the Nerevarine. This hero did many deeds over the island, coming into conflict with the Tribunal church, as any belief that opposed them (such as the Nerevarine) had been outlawed. He was aided though by the ashlander tribes who kept the old traditions, and found allies within one of the Great Houses. Eventually as the hero met more conditions of the prophecy, even the arch canon and Vivec himself had to accept the hero's status as Nerevarine.

Vivec entrusted the Nerevarine with the last tool, the Wraithguard, and sent him on a mission to claim the other two, and destroy the Heart of Lorkhan with them, he would lose his immortality, but so would Dagoth Ur, who the Nerevarine could then defeat. The Nerevarine did as was told, the heart and Dagoth Ur were destroyed, the Tribunal's powers removed, as Azura (who appeared to congratulate the Nerevarine) had prophesised.

Is there special moves in morrowind?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

There is no actual special moves in morrowind if you mean by hitting people. There is many special spells that do specific things, and spells you can create that do special things you want.

if you hold left click while a shield is equipted it will make you hold up your shield and you will likely block. If you hold a 2h or a weapon by left clicking it usually either increases damage or causes knockdown, sometimes both.

Damage is also increased on people who are knocked down.

This is what ive picked up by playing the game for a year now.

Where can you find cheats for Morrowind?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

For the PC version of Morrowind, the best way to find "cheats" is to read the help files for the Elder Scrolls Construction Set. They detail all the commands that can be used in script files and in the "console" (the in-game method for manipulating things), and the ways in which they can be used. Script files and line commands are the most powerfull tools available for changing how the game looks and acts. Learning how they work will also enable you to create your own mods for the game. They really aren't as complicated as they look once you're familiar with the language & syntax. Unfortunately, there is no console or script editor for the X-Box version. For information and cheats for that format you could try fileplanet.com and gamewinners.com. You could also try uesp.net which is the official site for The Elders Scrolls III.

How do you use a lute in Morrowind?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

You can't. It's just another thing they put in, like the fishing rod or basket, to either have or sell. They don't really serve any purpose except to sell.

Originally in morrowind you cannot play the lute.... However if you are playing the PC version you can download the offical mod that enables you to 'entertain the patrons' at the Eight Plates bar in Balmora. There you can choos to play the lute and sing (you must have a lute and good personality to succeed playing a song). This action is only narrated in the dialogue box - you do not physically play the lute. Depending on the success rate you will be given gold as a reward and sounds from the audience will respond accordingly. You can only entertain the patrons once a day. Or you can download Better Lutes or Complete lutes. Better Lutes adds several lutes to Caldera that you can play while holding. Complete lutes adds a bard sitting in Vivec Arena Pit that sells the player a lute and sheet music to play.

Daedra can be found almost anywhere in Vvardenfell (the setting for Morrowind). They can be summoned by those well skilled in Conjuration but are most commonly found in and around Daedric Shrines.
