The Hunger Games

I have searched everywhere to be proved wrong, but it has been confirmed that Madge will not have a part in the Hunger Games movie. I guess Madge isn't that important of a character but considering she is the entire reason Katniss has the Mockingjay, that should be enough of a reason to put her in the movie. Its not like leaving Prim out of the movie or someone like that. ( gosh, can you imagine if they did that??)

First, her mother and sister say goodbye. Then a friend of her's who is the daughter of the mayor says goodbye and gives her the Mockingjay pin. Then lastly, her best friend Gale says goodbye and promises he'll take care of Katniss's family

She doesn't. She and Peeta spit them out. The Capitol tells them, the only remaining tributes, to kill each other and they refuse so they pretend to plan to kill each other and die together and then they win.

The Hunger Games isn't defined as a mystery novel, though later in the trilogy, it does have some mysterious elements in it. The Hunger Games is typically categorized into the science fiction and adventure genres.

In the first book of the series, Katniss pretends to be in love with Peeta because she hopes to gain the support of sponsors, so she will be sent supplies while in the arena and will be more likely to win. By the end of the trilogy she is as much in love with him as he has always been with her.

She starts falling in love with him during the 1st game. It flourishes in the second book and is tested in the 3rd book.

Thresh is adorned with dark brown skin and dark hair. He is described as having strange golden brown eyes. Katniss said that with his massive size, six and a half foot tall, and dark colored skin, he was set with muscles like an ox. He is also known for having the same skin tone as Rue, the female Tribute from his District, but it is mentioned in the book that "the resemblance stops there" in reference to the similarity in appearance between Thresh and the female counterpart from his District. Katniss often thinks of Thresh as a "physical wonder".
as every other person in district 11, thresh has beautiful brown skin (just like rue) and brown eyes, his figure is quite stong and solid.

Katniss Everdeen: Olive skin, long black straight hair, gray eyes, thin

Gale Hawthorne: Oliive skin, black straight hair, gray eyes, handsome

Peeta Mellark: Light skin, wavy blonde hair, blue eyes, strong, handsome

Finnick Odair: Tan skin, bronze-colored hair, seagreen eyes, tall, attractive

rue, in my mind symbolizes katniss's breaking point. The only reason she didnt hurt rue is because she was tiny and defensless, rue was really the true mockingjay, unfortinantly she died. BUt she would truly in the mind of katniss be the mockingjay by how she was described as a bird taking flight. So rue symbolizes the mockingjay in its purest form.

She blows up the food while Rue distracts the Careers.

I can tell this is for school but I am not going to tell you because the book is SOO STINKING good you have to read it and find out for your self! But it does get better in chapter 10. trust me

The citizens of District 12 make the 3 finger salute towards Katniss when she volunteers to take her sister's place as the female tribute in the 74th Hunger Games. They salute her because what she is basically doing is giving up her life to spare her sister's and the citizens find it very courageous.

Fox face did not commit suicide. She saw Peeta picking the Nightlock (the berries) and assumed it was safe to eat. She died of Poisoning and was the first, and only, kill of Peeta (even if it was accidental).

This is why Katniss and Peeta were going to eat the berries near the end of the book (or as I assume you meant, the movie).

well in the book they call him 'hijacked' the Captial took tracker Tracker Venom and gave it to him to make him fear Katniss and make her so fearful to him that he will try to kill her because thats how life-threatening to him she is, so in other words, yes, they just played with his memories to create horrific ones of katniss

Yes, it is on the Hunger Games soundtrack.

The last showing is not known yet, but it first came out March 23rd at midnight, and it is rated PG-13. I went to go see it, and it is worth going to. Very intense, and it portrays the book perfectly! It is pretty long.

Katniss mentions that on page 61 in chapter 5.

The book, The Hunger Games, is part of the Science Fiction genre. This is a Science Fiction book because the book is set in the future and has new inventions and usage of words. The Hunger Games, is set in the future because the continent of North America has been conquered by a group of people and is now called the country of Panam. It is also set in the future because they have hovercraft's that move extreamly fast. Another reason why this book is set in the future is because people have learned how to control the weather and temperature in an outdoor environment. This also show that they have new technologies to control the weather. These are just a few of the reasons why, The Hunger Games, is set in the science fiction genre.

Ohio would be mostly comprised of District Six; the district that focuses on transportation technology, as well as a portion of District Twelve; which focuses in coal mining. The southern tip of Ohio would probably dip into District Eleven, the agricultural district.

I think it is Pg-13 because of the battle scenes. I hope I don't give away anything but I saw a preview for it and Alice rips James's head off, so probably that is one of the reasons it is Pg-13. Also probably the Romance and the love scenes are another reason, again ona preview Bella was in her under garnments and was on a bed making out with Edward. Also peopple were talking about sex. (giggle) It's the fight scenes, Edward and Bella only kiss, they kiss on the bed for like a second, Edward is not strong enough for longer. ---- Its probably rated PG-13 because of the battle scene. Alice breaks James's neck and Edward rips of some of James's skin. And like the answer above, the love scene's. But also because James breaks Bella's leg.

It means that you'll regret something you did on that specific day, and that in the future you'll look back on that specific day in regret for whatever you did. So another way to put it, is " regret the day"

First there a pretend couple, then they're just friends (while their still a pretend couple), then Katniss finds out she really DOES love Peeta, then in the end of the last book Mockinjay, she marries him.
