Clove slams Katniss to the ground at the "feast". She plans on killing Katniss, but makes the mistake of mentioning that they killed Rue. Thresh hears this and throws Clove to the ground. He thinks that they tortured Rue like they were going to do Katniss. Thresh drives a rock into her skull, and she dies.

The scores are a big part of a lot of tributes strategy. They can get a small score on purpose so the other tributes will know that they can leave them alone because they will most likely not survive anyways. Or you can get a really good score and the other tributes will either target you or be afraid of you. Peeta receives an 8 I believe and Katniss gets an 11 because the game makers are targeting her because she shot an arrow at an apple in a pigs mouth they were eating because they weren't watching her. In the first book or in Catching Fire? In The Hunger Games, her little sister, Prim, is drawn from the reaping, and so she took her place.


In Catching Fire, there's a change in the games. It's the 75th Hunger Games, and each quarter, they pull out a drawing, of what will make the Hunger Games worse this year. For instance, when Haymitch was in one of the "Quarter Quarrels" (atleast I think they're called that. Something like that) they used twice as many tributes. So 2 boys and 2 girls from each district. This year.....President Snow pulls out the most horrifying thing ever, The Tributes that will be pulled out....will all be Victors from the past games. And there is only one girl who has won for District 12. And that just so happens to be Katniss.

Jennifer Lawrence will play Katniss in Catching Fire.

Their is not much violence in the first book over all. There are some parts that sensitive readers may find violent but nothing bad, same goes for the second book(Catching Fire) although it has more parts that some people may find violent than in the previous book. In the last book(Mockingjay) their are probably many parts that are considered "violent" their is more fighting in this book as it is a transition into war in Panem. hope that helped :)

The score that each tribute is given is the show how skilled that tribute is. By getting a high score you get more support from the people in the capitol and they will feel more inclined to sponsor you and donate money to buy you things in the games e.g. Katniss received medicine in the 74th games.

The male from District 3. Among fans, some of us refer to him as Noah, but his name was not officially released.

He was bought into the alliance because he could replant the bombs from around the pedestals and activate them to surround and protect the Careers' supplies.

The main character is Katniss and her feelings for the others do change over time and they also change for her best friend Gale and her former tribute star Peeta over the course of the book.

No other countries/continents/civilizations were mentioned in the Hunger Games trilogy. The other places might still exist, but are not thought to be.

In the books at the begging she dressed regular, poor, hunter clothes. Before the games she was all fancy with her interview and red carpet. After winning the games she was rich but preferred regular clothes.
