The Lion King

It was released as a "Special Edition" from the Disney Vaults in October 2004 with higher quality, bonus features, and deleted scenes. But, it was put back into the Disney Vaults in January 2005.

Nala's strengths in The Lion King are that she is independent, spunky, a bit smarter and stronger than Simba, and brave enough to leave her homeland to find help.

You can watch Lion King on a DVD player or a VHS, but it has to be on a TV.

Moira Kelly is the voice of the adult Nala, and Niketa Calame is the voice of young Nala. Laura Williams is the singing voice of young Nala in "I Just Can't Wait to be King" and Sally Dworsky is the singing voice of adult Nala heard in "Can You Feel the Love Tonight".

The Walt Disney Company has the rights and royalties to The Lion King movies while Disney Theatrical Productions has the rights and royalities to The Lion King stage musical. I am not positively sure if the legal rights to the stage musical are currently available to theatre schools.

Simba is a Swahili word that means Lion. And the lion is the King of the jungle.

In the first film he isn't shown or implied to have any mate besides perhaps Sarabi. The official (as in made by Disney's people in their movie studios) sequel made up the lioness Zira, and a deleted scene (foundable on the DVD's bonus material) implies that she may have been Scar's mate - but all the scene really does is show that Zira wanted to be / thought she would be, not that she actually had been.

The three biomes seen in The Lion King are the tropical rainforest, desert, and savanna grassland.

After the events of The Lion King, Simba and Nala have a daughter, Kiara. Kiara seeks adventure, away from Simba's watchful eyes, and wanders outside the Pridelands. She meets a cub named Kovu, who belongs to an exiled group of lions who supported Scar. Simba appears, as well as Kovu's mother, Zira. Zira and Simba nearly fight, but Zira backs down. Years pass and Kiara matures, and is ready to go out on her first solo hunt. Zira sets a bushfire to trap Kiara, but Kovu rescues her. Kovu takes Kiara to Simba, and requests that he be able to live with them. Simba reluctantly agrees, and Kovu considers killing him, but decides to wait. Kovu and Kiara grow closer through hunting, and fall in love. Kovu decides to come clean to Kiara, but before he can, they fall into an ambush set up by Zira. They barely manage to get out alive, and Kovu tells his mother that he cannot kill Simba. Simba refuses to accept him, and Kovu is exiled, shunned by both groups. Kiara is outraged and tells Simba that he will never be like Mufasa before pursuing Kovu. She finds him and convinces Kovu to return. As they return, the Outsiders and the Pridelanders begin battling. Kovu and Kiara intervene, and tell them that they should not fight just because they are different. Both sides realize that they were blinded by prejudice, and stop fighting. Zira refuses to give up, and pounces at Simba. However, Kiara stops her, and sends her over a cliff. Zira dangles from the cliff, and Kiara tries to save her, but Zira refuses help, and falls to her death. Simba decides that Kovu and the other Outsiders can all live together, and Kovu and Kiara are hailed as the future king and queen.

Pumbaa. He is a warthog.

Pumbaa rescued Simba by carrying him through the desert. Pumbaa is Simba's hero, as he saved him again in the sequel.

We don't know who is Kovu's biological father since The Lion King II states that his father is not Scar although he adopted Kovu and chose him to be his heir. Since Disney has not officially announced who Kovu's father is, it is left to fanfiction.

There was no specific name given to the lake seen in the "Hakuna Matata" sequence or any other water resource seen in the film.

The Lion King is an animated movie.

Not really. It is too much influenced by Shakespeare's Hamlet and the Biblical story about Moses. Those can't be called fairytales as they are just great stories targetted at people of all ages, mostly at adults.

In the Disney movie The Lion King, Simba falls in love with Nala. She was his childhood friend. Several people told them when they were young that it was tradition for them to get married, but neither of them liked this idea very much. Until they grew up, that is. :)

The song, "Hakuna Matata", is heard at least three times. The first time is when Timon starts the song; the second time is when Pumbaa starts singing about his backstory, and the third time when adult Simba starts singing.

Vitani is the daughter of Zira, half-sister of Kovu.
