Was there a prequel to the Lion King?
Somewhat, there is. There is a profit fanfiction prequel story in the book series The Lion King: The Six New Adventures, specifically in its first part "A Tale of Two Brothers", which tells of Mufasa and Scar's youth. But that is really only profit fanfiction and has been denied by the film's makers on the commentary track of the Laserdisc release in 1995 and the DVD release in 2003. Also, some events in The Lion King 1½ is considered a prequel as it details Timon's origins and how Timon and Pumbaa met each other which takes place before the original film.
It is implied that Nuka could be Scar's son as he remarks "Kovu, Kovu, Kovu. Scar wasn't even his father", but it was never officially said in the film nor did The Lion King IIfilmmakers confirmed that he is. Kovu, on the other hand, is not Scar's biological son, as it is said that he isn't twice in the film and in the deleted scenes.

Mufasa ends up saving his son's life twice. And to tell him that the great kings of the past look down on them from the stars and that they, as well as he himself, would always be there to guide Simba, if he should ever feel alone. Simba takes it literally and thinks his father will never go away and always come when he calls for him. After his fathes is murdered by his uncle who blames the death on the child Simba, Simba goes to exile for years and apparently would've never have the strength and faith to return home, but a family friend summoned his father's spirit, who then appeared to Simba through clouds, to give him guidence.

Yes, Zira loves Scar. She loved him enough to make it her life's purpose to train his chosen heir, Kovu, to follow in his pawprints, and become the king by killing Simba. However, their relationship is a "leader-follower relationship" in which she admires and respects Scar as a leader, and blindly lives by his values and ideals. The two are not mates because Zira's children's (mostly Kovu) relationship with Scar was changed to avoid an incestuous relationship with Kiara during production of The Lion King II.

Why is the lion know as the king of the jungle?
First i have to tell you thata lions shouldn't actually be known as king of the jungle as they have the habitat of savannahs!
Secondly, they got their name from their almighty roar that they echo louder when standing on tall cliffs - a scene shown in Disney movie "The Lion King". It also shows in this film the lions as "king." In a savannah! King of the Savannah, see???????????????
Anyway, they are known as king for their almighty roar and also the SECOND MOST DANGEROUS PREDATOR IN THE SAVANNAHS. Theres another reason. Its the big bulky tiger that serves it's rights as king of the jungle!
So what have we learnt folks? The lion is king of the jungle because of it's massive roar and predator skills. Thanks for listening. Now its maths time. Off you pop!
