well kind of.......he stops killing as many people because he loves Elena. but she breaks his heart by telling him the same thing as Katherine-she always wanted stefan. so he kills Jeremy but hes got on the supe protection ring that saves him. He feeds on Andy quite a lot when hes upset but in the end tells her to leave before he kills her, which is quite nice. In the whole of this series hes only killed one person when he was really upset. Elena just messes his feelings around so he gets upset and desperate and angry. hes a lovely person deep down who has been scarred by love. Katherine never loved him and rose was killed by him to save her from being in too much pain. :'(
