What is a mythical Tibetan entity called a talpa?
A Talpa is a tibetan demon, though not native to only Tibet. In Yiddish a Talpa is called a golem. In other words, A talpa/golem is a manifestation created by an adept to accomplish a certain task or tasks. So with that said it could be assumed that a talpa is a hollow shell created by man that is then animated through some process then given instruction on how to behave or given certain tasks to perform.
"Once the tulpa is endowed with enough vitality to be capable of playing the part of a real being, it tends to free itself from its maker's control . . . . Tibetan magicians also relate cases in which the tulpa is sent to fulfill a mission, but does not come back and pursues its peregrinations as a half-conscious, dangerously mischievous puppet. The same thing, it is said, may happen when the maker of the tulpa dies before having dissolved it."
~ Alexandra David-Neel, With Mystics and Magicians in Tibet.
The saying "If you tell a lie big enough, long enough, and loud enough, it will become the truth." also applies. If enough people believe a thing to be real, then it will be real. If people think and believe whole heartedly that a place is haunted, then it will be. Thought is creative.
"Take a demon as a demon and it will harm you.
Know a demon is in your mind and you'll be free of it."
~ Jetsun Milarepa

Tibet is part of China, under the Chinese Central Government's Sovereignty. Thus to travel to Tibet, you have to obtain a China Visa at first stage before all are followed up. Visas for individual travel in China are very easy to get from most Chinese embassies. Most Chinese embassies and consulates will issue a standard 30-day, single entry tourist visa in three to five working days ( an 'L' means travel). If you are lucky, some embassies abroad may give you a 60 or even 90days. But in Hongkong it is very easy to get a 90 day visa, most agencies can arrange it in one day. If you want more flexibility to enter and leave China several times, most Chinese embassies will issue a double-entry visa. Usually only ' L' visa can travel in Tibet, but recent with a resident or business visa still can travel in Tiet.

What is the Tibetan translation for Jason and Amy?
Amy would be, in Wylie, 'e mi. This is assuming one wanted to transliterate in such a way that it would be equivalent to the English pronunciation. 'e means nothing, but the syllable "mi" does mean "human life". Here it is in Tibetan script:

Jason would be je son. "je" can mean "more" and "son" means "seed", so it means "more seed", literally translated, although it would be backwards; Tibetans would say "seed more", or "son je". I reversed the letter "na" at the end of the word to clarify that this is a name, and from a foreign language.
