Life changing event. The Unsinkable Molly Brown had her whole life changed from that day on. Just like the people who lived through the 1906 San Francisco earthquake they experienced something that affected their entire lives.

Titanic was launched on a Wednesday, May 31, 1911. It's maiden voyage took place nearly a year later on April 10, 1912, also a Wednesday.

The ship closest to the Titanic saw the fireworks, but it didn't know Titanic was sinking. Instead, it thought the ship was having a party due to the fireworks. So there.

The Titanic is (and was) a very interesting ship in it's modern day. And although the ship it self is rusting away, it would be very interesting just to even look at all of the creatures living on it. Dr. Robert ballard however, wished that if people were going to explore the ship, that it should not be looted because taking things off of it would destroy the ship even more and it would fall apart. Don't forget that April 12th and the 15th are coming up and that those dates are the days it set sail and sank!!

On her first stop, April 3rd, Titanic left Belfast, headed to England.

On April 10th Titanic left Southampton for her second stop in Cherbourg, France.

Late on April 14th, 1912, the "unsinkable" HMS Titanic, carrying more than 2,200 souls on its maiden voyage, struck a glancing blow to an iceberg, flooded, and by 0200 the following morning, sank into the calm but freezing waters of the North Atlantic.

Only around 700 souls survived.

It is often hailed as the worst maritime disaster in history, perhaps because it was widely believed to have been avoidable, and despite not being the greatest loss of life in the sinking of a ship at sea.

SOme of the props are given to people in the movie, others are kept on the lot to be used in other movies, as long as its not too identifiable. Others are auctioned off and others just collect dust somewhere in prop heaven. You can probably call the Prop coordinator that is listed on the credits of the movie your interested in and see if they are for sale or what?

it affected everybody greatly because their friends lives where lost and their where others who were upset because of the expensive ship that sunk all thanks to a iceberg!!!

The sinking of the Titanic was a tragic and very large scale loss of life. Many people died simply because they were thought to be a lower class... they were locked behind bars that prevented them from getting out of the ship while the 1st class was already being loaded into boats that were not full--- more people could have been saved if the boats would have been filled.. Even some wealthy men got into boats before the women and children of the "lower class" were allowed to start boarding. It showed a very ugly side to people.

There are no bodies in the wreck of Titanic and there has not been for a long time. If not already consumed by marine life, a human body takes about 5 yrs to dissolve from calcium carbonates in the water.

Not only because it was the largest hand-made moving object at that time, it had several luxurious styles and even the third-class passengers had a bit of luxury that other boats didn't have at that time, such as not having to bring their own meals

A very good place to go to rent a log cabin is in Rincon, Georgia at Ebenezer campsite it has a bunch of stuff to do and alone time with your mate or family
