How many times has back to back to back home runs in a Major League baseball game occured?

Baseball Back to Back to Back Home Runs!I think it has been three times* that there have been back-to-back-to-back home runs in Major League Baseball. I witnessed one time yesterday, (the only time a road team did it), Sunday, 9 September 2007, when I was in the stands at Great American Ball Park.

The Milwaukee Brewers scored 3 consecutive home runs in the 1st inning, with their first three batters, against the Cincinnati Reds, at home in Cincy. Reds rookie pitcher Phil Dumatrait (0-4) was taken out of the game two batters later, with two Brewers on base and no outs. The Brewers would win that game 10-5.

After the game, the radio commentator said it has only happened three times.

The previous time was 28 May 2003 when the Braves did it at home in Atlanta, against the Reds.

The first time was 13 April 1987, when the San Diego Padres got back-to-back-to-back home runs at home, against the Giants.

*I point out this info conditionally because while researching, it is unclear if my sources meant back-to-back-to-back to START the game, or if this info applies for anytime during a game.

There were also 5 back to back to back to back homeruns by the 61 braves, 63 indians, 64 twins, 06 dodgers and 07 red sox

What place are the Toronto maple leafs in this year?

The Leafs were founded in November 1917 as a last minute addition to the newly formed NHL. The team was originally just known as "Toronto" although they quickly became known as the "Arenas" after being sponsored by the Toronto Arena Company. The team went under new ownership in 1919 and the name was changed to the St. Patricks, in an effort to appeal to the city's large immigrant Irish community. In 1927, the team was sold again to businessman Conn Smythe who once again renamed the team; this time to the Maple Leafs.

It should be noted that the NHL, the Maple Leafs, and most of their fans consider these changes as simply name changes, meaning that it is the same franchise but just under a different name. This would be no different then when the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim changed their names to the Ducks.

The previous poster, who's answer I have removed, made an incorrect assumption of associating the Toronto Pro H.C. and the Toronto Blueshirts of the NHA to the current franchise. The Blueshirts folded (and arguably made the NHA fold with it) in 1917 and aren't considered part of Maple Leaf franchise history.

Hate to break it to the above poster but he's wrong. In 1927, Conn Smythe bought the Toronto St. Pats NHL team and quickly renamed them the Maple Leafs. The current Canadian flag was adopted in 1965.

The truth is nobody knows why they are actually called the Maple Leafs. Some speculate it was after a local minor league baseball team also called the Toronto Maple Leafs. The most common belief is that they were named after a World War 1 Battalion which Smythe was apart of although we probably will never know for sure.
