The Tour de France is possibly the most famous bicycle race held in the world.

The Champs Elysées are the most famous avenue of Paris. It connects the Place de la Concorde with its marvelous fountains and the Obelisk at the bottom end, to the Arc de Triomphe at the upper end. They are part of the royal perspective, stretching from The Louvre museum and the Tuileries gardens, to the Grande Arche in the business district, west of Paris. The Champs are 2 kilometers long and they host every year the finish line for the famous Tour de France cycling race, and the 14th of July military parade. Close to the Champs Elysées is the presidential palace, the "Palais de l'Elysée".

People don't compete in the TdF by country.

TdF is raced by professional teams, assembled by riders from wherever.

Le Tour de France visited Britain in 2007, marking the first time the race started outside France. The Grand Départ took place in London, with the race featuring stages that included parts of England and Scotland. 4.6 seconds on the 40m sprint is about average, but it really depends on your body type. A big, muscular guy might run a 4.59, but that doesn't mean he is average. A thin guy might run a 4.6, at that might make him average or even worse. It really depends on your body type. For example, if you have a 6'2" 250 lbs. linebacker run and a 6'2" 180 lbs. punter run the 40m sprint, which do you expect will win? The 6'2" 180 lbs. punter because he has less weight to carry. If they both run the same time, you can expect that the 6'2" 250 lbs. linebacker is pretty fast for his body type. Hope this isn't too confusing!

A kilometer is 0.621 miles. So 100km.equals 62.1 miles. If you only need a rough estimate 5/8 of a mile is close 0.625.

4km. is roughly two and a half miles, 5km would be just over 3 miles. 10km. is close to six and a quarter miles, 6.21 to be precise.

Tour de Singkarak was created in 2009.

According to the Tour official site, there are 22 teams participating.

On July 24, 2010 I had the opportunity to run across and ride with Greg LeMond in West Hartford, CT. A one point we stopped at a traffic light and discussed bikes. I'm 5' 8 1/2". Greg was approximately the same height, possible slightly taller. I would estimate his height at between 5' 9" and 5' 10" in height. L. Barry - Newington CT.
