In general a signed baseball card is worth about 30% - 40% the price of a signed baseball or the same price of a signed 8 x 10 photo. Collectible items could add value to the price of a signature but not always. As in the case of a baseball card, generally collectors of baseball cards would rather have a baseball card without the signature. Yes, of course they are worth more money! It also depends on what the card is and its rarity. You can search up a cards rarity online. You can sell cards on eBay (or any shopping site) for high price, and if its rare, or holographic or something like that, people WILL buy it :)

I keep searching for this as well with no luck. I have a set of 4 from 1992 that are signed by him. He was @ Camp Lejune, NC on the military base and I had to buy 4 Baby Ruth candy bars to get all the cards and for him to sign them. I still have them in mint condition

Common (Base) Basketball cards have a picture of the player, his name, team, set and sometime position or jersey number. In order to determine if a baseball card is glossy, you need to look at the exterior of the card. If it is shiny and has no scratches, chances are it is glossy. Also, the sides must have rounded corners to be considered glossy.
