Tree Frogs

This is a very broad question as there are a great many different species of tree frog. In most of the natural world, living things that change color do so for one of two reasons: breeding or defense. In the case of tree frogs the primary reason is most likely defense - by changing color they can either blend into the environment or repel predators.

Red-eyed tree frogs have 4 toes on their front feet and 5 toes on their back feet.

Tree frogs live in the rainforest which is tropical weather. There are a lot of tree frogs but one popular kind is the red eyed tree frogs and they have orange toes that stick to trees really well. Tree frogs eat flies, moths, grasshoppers, and small frogs and crickets. Tree frogs love to swim in water and they like to go off land sometimes to play with other creatures there size. Frogs are very important to our world so be very kind and nice to tree frogs and they will be nice to you too.

The European tree frog is found in meadows and shrublands across eastern Europe but is considered endangered in western Europe. The Cuban tree frog is the largest of the four tree frog species ans is natively found in Cuba and its surrounding islands, but has been introduced to parts of Florida, the Caribbean and Hawaii. The Red-Eyed tree frog is the most distinctive of the tree frog species and is native to the jungles of Central America. The Red-Eyed tree frog has a long narrow body and hind legs which point outwards, along with its characteristic red eyes. As with other frogs and toads, tree frog are generally carnivorous animals, feeding primarily on insects, worms and spiders. The large Cuban tree frog will eat anything that will fit in its mouth including lizards, snakes, small mammals and even other frogs. Due to their small size, the tree frog has numerous predators wherever it lives in the world. Birds, mammals and reptiles of all shapes and sizes prey on the tree frog and the tree frog is also known to be a tasty tree for large fish. During the mating season, tree frogs make loud croak-like calls to one another in order to attract a mate. The female tree frog lays her eggs on a leaf above the water, which develop into tadpoles in just a few days when they fall into the water below. The metamorphic process from tadpole to adult tree frog can take anywhere from a few weeks to several months.

Gray Tree Frogs eat insects and occasionally it will eat small mammals.

all frogs breathe through their mouth (The throat of a frog 'pulsates' up and down which is causing air to be drawn in through, and pushed out from, its nostrils.) They also have the ability to breathe through their skin (Which allows them to breathe when hibernating in the bottom of ponds etc) This, and the ability to absorb moisture through their skin, is contributing to their decline across the globe as it means they are very succeptable to chemical and gaseous pollution.

there is this tube that runs through their body and the tube goes from the mouth literally al the way down to the butt of the frog. and when frogs squeeze and release their butt cheeks it makes a vibrating motion that goes up the frogs tube called the (andilos) and forces a monotone sound to come out of the frog. that's where the "ribits" come from in a frog.

Arizona tree frogs have a diet consisting mainly of insects, including beetles, spiders, earthworms, flies and bark beetles, and sometimes small invertebrates. see attached link for more information.

then there would be no red eyed green tree frogs sitting on the wall.

are tree frogs harmful to dogs ,? if your dog had it in her mouth ,but not very long & just vomit as well

I don't believe so. This year I acquired three wild pacific free frogs, and even now in the middle of winter they are very alert and active!

Wash the tank out with hot water, do not use household cleaning products. A 10 part water, 1 part bleach solution can be used, but the tank must be rinsed throughly before use. Glass tanks are excellent for tree frogs because the glass helps to keep in the moisture and humidity, 2 things all amphibians require. Research the frogs you wish to keep, as many have different husbandry needs.

It depends on the age of a frog, the circumstances and chance of infection. A cut-off like wound has a smaller chance of infection than a rip-off wound. If the frog is just a froglet, the leg will grow faster compared to an adult species. If the circumstances are bad (food shortage, too much parasites infecting the frog) this will have a negative impact on the healingprocess.

American Green Tree Frogs got it's name because they're a vibrant green color. They also live in trees. You can find them when it's humid and dark outside. The Australian Green Tree Frog is a White's Tree Frog in America.

i looked it up on pet smart and it turns out they don't sell real frogs but they do sell toy frogs

they dont move much so i guess they eat anything that climbs up the tree

The rainforest is full of moisture, it is also extremely humid. There are high trees with a lot of greenery. Tree frogs thrive in hot conditions where it is damp, and they live high up in trees. Their long legs allow them to leap high & far distances, and their almost 360 vision allows them to see all around them to detect predators (and prey). As well as this, their skin can change in colour. It can vary from being very dark, to very light green; depending on the colour of the leaves on the trees they are hiding in. They have sticky feet to latch themselves onto the trees. However, they do not have long tongues to catch food with, as they don't normally look for food near water sources. As they live in trees, many insects and creatures crawl along the branches, which they simply catch in their mouths at close range.

Red Eyed tree frogs will reach an average size of 2.5 inches with a range of 2 to 3 inches in length, snout to vent. Males usually reach an average length of 2.2 inches and females are usually aroung 2.5 inches.

Depending, do you mean the WHITE'S tree frog (AKA dumpy tree frog or and Austrailian green tree frog)? If that's the type of frog then make your hands wet with water that has been treated to be safe for the frog, then carefuly cup your hands around it with a hole between your fingers the size of her head. If it strugles, try to put it down somewhere safe, possibly its tank or a jar to keep it in while you clean the tank. If your hand is mysteriously wetter, the frog released its swim bladder on you (Defense mechanism), its not urine. If you drop the frog, just pick it up again. Hope this answers your question!
