Triceratops probably was an herbivore, so it would probably not attack an animal unless it was provoked. However, if provoked, they weighed 6.5 to 13 tons and had three horns capable of impaling a human. In fact, fossil evidence shows us a case where a Triceratops fended off a T-Rex with its horns. So, in short, they wouldn't hunt you down, but if you gave them good reason, they could kill a human with ease.

Triceratops lived in the North American continent. Remains have been found in the United States (USA) states of Colorado, Montana, North and South Dakota, and Wyoming, and in the Canadian provinces of Alberta and Saskatchewan. There is evidence that they were a herding animal. They lived in groups like buffalo or bison.

Triceratops was an herbivore, or plant eater. Triceratops had large batteries of teeth and definitely chewed its food. This suggests that they ate tough vegetation. In addition, Triceratops's head was relatively low to the ground, so any plants that it ate would have to be relatively low growing for it to reach them, unless it used its horns to tip trees over on occasion. They may have eaten conifers, cycads, palms, or ferns.

Triceratops fossils have been found in the US states of Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, and South Dakota and the Canadian provinces of Alberta and Saskatchewan, and date to between 68 and 65.5 million years ago. At that time the area was a subtropical, coastal floodplain with various river deltas. It was forested with plants such as conifers, cycads, ginkgoes, ferns, horsetails, and early angiosperms such as primitive grasses and palm trees. There were occasional peat swamps there, too. The region had distinct wet and dry seasons, and sometimes suffered from drought.

Tyrannosaurus rex was the apex predator of the local habitat, where they and Triceratops lived. T-rex may even have hunted Triceratops. However, because they were herbivores, Triceratops were far more common than T-rex. I'm not sure which of those you consider dominant.

All dinosaurs that ate plants and had three horns were relatives of Triceratops. Some examples that are not Triceratops, but are related to Triceratops, include Agujaceratops, Anchiceratops, Arrhinoceratops, and Chasmosaurus.

The large and powerful triceratops was only prey occasionally, and then to the largest of the carnivores such as Tyrannosaurus.

Both Protoceratops and Triceratops belong to the suborder Ceratopsia, so they are somewhat related. However, Protoceratops belongs to the family Protoceratopsidae while Triceratops belonged to the family Ceratopsidae.

Triceratops may have lived either solitary or in herds. Either way, they would probably ignore any other herbivores in the area. If attacked by a predator, they may have run or fought back.

The only predator of adult Triceratops was Tyrannosaurus. Triceratops was so formidable thanks to its size and its horns that it sometimes successfully defended itself against Tyrannosaurus.

There are many ways how rhinoceros and triceratops are different. But I will only tell you one. (Ahem) One way rhinoceros and triceratops are different is that rhinoceros are mammals while a triceratops is a reptile.
