Whatever you have cannot be genuine. There are novelty items that look like fantastically-high value bills, and the market is flooded with counterfeits that trap unsuspecting buyers.

The highest denomination US bills ever circulated were $10,000; the highest ever printed were special $100,000 gold certificates used only within the Federal Reserve system.

Depends on the version and quality of the bill, but mostly anywhere from $80 in very good condition to $450 in uncirculated condition.

There isn't one. The last silver certificates were printed in the early 1960s under the 1957 series, but watermarks weren't used on US paper money until 1990.

Even today $1 and $2 bills are considered too low in value to have extra anti-counterfeiting features. Watermarks, microprinting, security threads and so on are only used on $5 and higher bills.

HAWAII-overprint bills weren't made in Hawaii. They were printed in Washington during WWII for use in Hawaii in case the Japanese captured the islands.

Your bill is a Federal Reserve Note rather than a certificate, and its date should be 1934 rather than 1935. The only brown-seal HAWAII bills printed as silver certificates were $1 bills.

Given that the value of 1957-series $1 bills in average condition has only increased about 50 cents in half a century, it's not likely they'll break the $2 mark in another four decades.

You might be able to sell it for $2.50 to $3.00 but a dealer will only pay face value ($2.00). Huge numbers of these bills were saved as souvenirs of the Bicentennial.

It really varies on the condition, without knowing the condition there is no way of clearly making an assessment on the value.

Note that all current American bills have captions on them identifying the person pictured on the front and the scene or building on the back.

It depends on whether you have a green seal Federal Reserve Note or a gold seal Gold Certificate. As of 10/2009 auction prices are:

FRN: for a bill in circulated condition, $1300. to $1700. Uncirculated ones sell for over $2000.

GC : $2500.-$7000. circulated, over $15,000 uncirculated.

Please check your bill again and post a new, separate question. Only one series of red-seal $5 bills was printed in 1963 so there are none with series letters.

The E subseries had the lowest printing for 1950-series $10, $20, $50, and $100 bills. They were actually printed in the early 1960s and were soon superseded by the new 1963 series. For those denominations 1950-E bills are scarcer than 1950-dated bills with other series letters.

The 1934 series only extends to the letter D. You may be confusing the Federal Reserve Bank letter with the series letter; that's next to the date, not in the center of the seal.

In any case, despite its age your bill is only worth face value in worn condition. If it's nearly new it might retail for up to $70.

Please don't assume that every old bill is a silver certificate. If it has a green seal it should say Federal Reserve Note across the top front, not silver certificate.

Please check again and post a new, separate question. The last silver certificates were printed with the date 1957. No US bills are dated 1961.

It's a plate index number. The Bureau of Engraving and Printing puts small numbers and letters on all bills to indicate where the bill was located in the large plate that prints multiple bills at a time, which plate in a set was used, and (since 1991) which printing facility produced the bill.

Very definitely. From 1928 to 1963 all US $2 bills, as well as some $5 and $100 bills, were issued as US Notes rather than Federal Reserve Notes. They were printed with red ink rather than the familiar green ink used on FRN's.

United States Notes were issued directly by the federal government rather than under the aegis of the central bank. They made up only a small fraction of the total number of bills printed each year and were functionally identical to FRNs, so production was halted as a cost-saving measure. Since the early 1970s all bills have been issued by the Federal Reserve Bank.
