i think Richelle Mead is writing a new book called Bloodlines but it isn't narrated by Rosemarie's point of view. It is ( i think) narated by either Sydney or Jill.

dimitri turns back to a dhampir because. you need a stake charmed with the four elements to kill a normal strigoi. but lissa discovers if you charm a stake with just spirit, you can restore the strigoi back to its former self but the stake must be driven through the heart by a spirit user themself. so lissa charms a stake and learns to drive a stake throught a strigois heart and when the right time came, lissa drove the stake through dimitris heart and dimitri turned back to a dhampir.
