Where can people be turned into into vampires?

In books, movies, and comics. Anywhere, except for Bloydetown West Virginia where there is a strict anti-vampire propagation law in place.

Why are vampires depicted as only being able to be killed by a wooden stake through their hearts?

Driving a wooden stake through a vampire's heart is the most popular way of killing them. Many stories depict alternatives as being available or required. For example, in the book Dracula, a wooden stake can only paralyse the vampire, not kill them; to kill them their head should is cut off. Several other pieces of literature depict various methods of killing a vampire, including burning, exposing them to sunlight, forcing them to drink holy water, etc.
because people say that the only thing keeping vampires alive is their connection of their heart and brain and without one of them they will be destroyedbut also vampires can be killed by being caught in the sunlight.

Do vampires eyes change to any significant colors like red and when they say they can see better at night does that mean they can hardly see in the morning?

(Note that vampires, at least as portrayed in film, do NOT actually exist, so explanations as to their physiology are from the fictional portrayals.)

Vampire's eye colours do not change, they are just extremely sensitive to light.

---

Vampires can see normal at the day, but better than "normal" humans in night. Their eyes change tones, not color, for example blue eyes won't change into brown or black but a darker or a lighter blue.

---

Eyes do change colour according to mood. Skin tone changes according to hunger levels. If a vampire has good night vision, their daylight vision is bad. Most are that way. Some are balanced in both respects. A vampire may obviously go out in the daytime, there is nothing to prevent it. But they'd need to recover afterward too.

Did vampires ever exist?

There is no evidence to suggest vampires ever have existed.

Many claim to be vampires, but these claims are invariably fantastic, unsupported and made by adolescents (the frequency of which rises after the release of a film series featuring them).

How long have vampires been around?

they have been around since about 1789 when there were stories of blood sucking monsters

Are human vampire's real?

There was an interesting TV program exploring this very question. Apparently they found at least one man who regularly drinks human blood, and considers himself a vampire. He gets the blood from consenting people with whom he is close, using sterile blood drawing equipment. He also appears to suffer some aversion to light. Scientists were trying to determine if he had some unusual form of anemia. He did not fit all the criteria in the legends however. He was visible in mirrors for example. However, both the Old & The New Testaments prohibit the drinking of blood of any animal source.

What are vampires hobbies?

It varies from book to book depending on their personalities. e.g Edward Cullen like to play the piano

What are signs of being a vampire?

In literature, there are many. Authors tend to differ a bit, and there have been no consistent descriptions.

Vampires have been described as both bloated and emaciated, ruddy or purplish and pale, stiff and fluid in movement.

Simply stated, for every description of a vampire in literature and lore, there is a contradiction.

Vampires being creatures of fiction and imagination, this is the nature of the beast.

The only common thread appears to be a taste and need for fresh blood, and perhaps organ meat of living victims, typically human but some animals as well.

Are vampires immortal?

Some vampires are immortal but die when living on Earth and live on in the dimension of Twimon, these are Twimonian Vampires. Transylvanian vampires were born human but got bit somewhere on the body except the neck by a Twimonian vampire. Transylvanian vampires are not immortal.

What is a vampire spirit?

That part of a vampire that makes a dead body behave in the way of a vampire. There are many different kinds of vampires, not all of them suck blood, but they all 'steal life-force' in some way. The closest thing to being pure vampire spirit would be either a succubus or an incubus, the female and male counter-parts of 'a life-depleting dream'.

Vampires are not real. There is a certain species of vampire bats, however, but they do not normally attack humans.

Where did the myth of Vampires originate from?

Vampires are older then werewolves and the like. their exact origin is unknown, but many cultures made them up as an exuse for a particularly gruesome murder. just like dragons, it is hard to tell exactly who invented them. sorry i couldn't help more.

Vampires come from many different places, but as for where they exactly originated, that's hard to tell. Many people seem to think they come from Europe, but there is no real proof of that. Haha, if you really want to look into that question, Google it - Better answers pop up. [:

From where do vampires come from?

Well they originally come from ancient folklore and mythology.

Answer 2:

There are only 2 places the origin of Vampires came from: Biblical story and/or Egyptian/Jewish story.

Both are totally linked. Enter Cain: Cain was the firstborn son of Adam and Eve. He was banished, with a mark, from the land of his parents because he killed his brother in a jealous rage.

10 What hast thou done? The voice of thy brother's blood crith unto me from the ground.

11 And now art thou cursed from the earth, which hath opened her mouth to receive thy brother's blood from thy hand;

12 When thou tillest the ground, it shall not henceforth yield unto thee her strength; a fugitive and a vagabond shalt thou be in the earth.

15 And the LORD said unto him, Therefore whosoever slayeth Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him seven fold. And the LORD set a mark on Cain, lest any finding him shall kill him.

Genesis 4:10-15 According to vampire legend, Cain wandered until he found Lilith by the Red Sea. She took him in and showed him the power of blood. (My religion teacher put it that the tree of life is represented in blood. Thus why Jewish persons staunchly drain all blood away from their meat before cooking and eating it. And thus why drinking blood/ being a vampire is such a big deal in a religious context.)

From Cain and Lilith came a host of demons and vampires in the vague myths. Cain is mentioned in the Bible as having a number of legitimate children, with an unnamed woman/ wife. Some of his children are even highly regarded, as they are listed with their inventions, such as the harp and metal working. But, past Gen. 4:26 there is no more mention of Cain's children or his line. Cain himself is referred to only twice more, in the New Testament, as "the prototype of the wicked man."

Technically according to these excerpts vampires were extracted from the beginning; Genesis, also with the mythological origin, when Cain met Lilith, Lilith was technically a powerful sea linked person, like the Phorcydes who were sea demons, a family from the sea, sea of blood technically, a place in the underworld.

From what there is presented in the Bible, there is little to go on with the myth of Cain and Lilith. Lilith herself appears only in Jewish apocrypha texts-- she is in neither the Torah or the Bible. But what is interesting is Cain-- and it might be inferred Lilith too-- appears in the epic poem Beowulf, and with much more mention than he ever receives in the Bible.

...Till the monster stirred, that demon, that fiend,

Grendel, who haunted the moors, the wild

Marshes, and made his home in a hell

Not hell but earth. He was spawned in that slime,

Conceived by a pair of those monsters born

Of Cain, murderous creatures banished

By God, punished forever for the crime

Of Abel's death. The Almighty drove

Those demons out, and their exile was bitter,

Shut away from men; they split

Into a thousand forms of evil-- spirits,

And fiends, goblins, monsters, and giants.

A brood forever opposing the Lord's

Will, and again and again defeated.

(Ll. 101-114)

And then as we read again Lilith from Beowulf is a demon, a sea demon, affiliated with the sea, and blood.

Thus, vampires came mostly from the bible and Jewish/Nordic/Greek mythologies, all linked mostly with the dark depth of the sea. All that Vlad the Impaler stuff is way way into the future. Vampires probably don't exist, but if they did they'd only be found in the extreme climate places of Europe, Iceland or Africa.

Do vampires feed in the dark and why?

Traditional Vampire myths and fiction (such as Anne Rice), portray Vampires as "creatures of the night", which is a reference to the "darkness" or "evil" from which they are supposed to have originated from. The original concept of their darkness-bound existence is linked to the attribution of the sun and sunlight to a god or gods, or put more simply the fight between light and darkness.

More recently, liberties have been taken with these myths and authors and script writers have begun changing the traditional image of the vampire to their own ends. An example would be making vampires more "human" by making human morals a part of the vampire's being. An example of this is the recent teen drama "Twilight", which allows vampires to walk around in daylight, or HBO's "True Blood", which assigns calmer "emotions" and sympathy for humans to the vampire Bill.

How do you join a vampire cult?

  1. First you have to obtain a application form. Often with secret and exclusive cults this is only available from an existing member. If so then you have to somehow attract or capture the attention of (a) member vampire(s) and convince him (them) to let you apply. How to do this is the subject of a separate question and only for those who are really serious.
  2. Fill-out the form according to the rules (there maybe many of these), submit the application fee and mail it all in. NOTE:the act of applying doesn't assure induction or even a response. The fee is non-refundable and (quite honestly) there are many scams out there that are simply into ripping you off for the application fee. Beware of any society or cult that allows multiple or repeated submissions.
  3. If you receive a response. You will be expected to memorize it and them destroy it. Follow whatever instructions it gives. What will follow will be a series 'look-sees' or 'tests of your intentions'. A look-see is merely the member-ship or some sub-set there-of having a look at you, trying to make-up their minds whether to include you or not. Perhaps the first few of these you will be oblivious to. In this case your instructions will be to simply 'await further instructions'. Then you will be sent to sites of recent cult activity and observed for your reaction to what you find there. If you react adversely this may be the end of your application. These 'visits' may then advance to the level of tests, where you are expected to perform some compliant activity. Usually this means 'cleaning-up after' them. They will want to 'distance themselves' from their own handiwork and as you are 'as unconnected as possible' you are the best one to do the 'mopping-up'.
  4. At some point these test (may) advance to the point where they become an act of 'unrecoverable complicity', what those in the criminal under-world refer to as 'making your bones.' You will be expected to do something that makes it impossible for you to renounce or betray the society. BEWARE of any society or cult that demands this level of complicity. Best you seek-out some society that doesn't require such a commitment.
  5. Then you will be allowed/required to undergo some induction ceremony, rite-of-passage, baptism, etc etc etc. There may be a long series of these as you are allowed higher up the levels of the cult.
