Better network then others, largest 3G provider. Verizon spends millions every year to improve there network. Better service.

Verizon does carry iPhone (mainly iPhone 4), though it isn't selling as well as expected. Part of this is due to the discontinuing of unlimited data and changing to a tiered data package for new customers.
