I informed my vet that I had a some Vicodin and wanted to know if I could give my dog one of my pills when needed. My vet said "yes, it was okay". However, you should discuss with your vet, as it all depends on the breed/size, type of pain, and the dog's current life expectancy. Example: Vicodin will not work for inflamation, and could be toxic for little dogs. My dog is a 90 lb, 11 year old, golden retriever, who has transitional cell carcinoma which has spread. I only give her one maybe once or twice a week when she is having a really bad day. She does very well on them, often going from lethargic on the couch panting to wanting to play/cuddle/sometimes sleep. It would NOT be safe to give to a dog daily, or over a long period because of addiction/withdrawls/damage to liver (as is the case for humans). Nor would it be wise to give a human dosage to a very small animal, because of possible overdose. An alternative pain medication, more readily available, and recommended by vets for pain control in dogs is TRAMADOL. Talk to a vet about getting the right dosage based on your pet's weight. To be honest I'm not sure why you would try that unless you wanted to try to kill it or give it mental problems when its born. If you take vicodin at all your going to harm it but snorting it your goinging to increase its strength ultimatley doing more harm whoever wrote this isn't very educated on the matter, i know several people who have been prescribed hydrocodone while pregnant, myself included. i think snorting it would just make it hit you quicker not stronger. what happens while you take opiates while presgnant is you may become addicted and make your baby addicted if you keep doing them until you deliver.

In many other substances, the drug crosses the blood-brain barrier in the nose, and therefore hits faster and the half-life is shorter. percocet is a little bit stronger than vicodin in terms of its sedating and painkilling effects. i had my wisdom teeth out a month ago and after a few days the vicodin the doctor prescribed me for pain gradually lost its effect. he then prescribed me percocet which felt stronger to me but like the vicodin it gradually lost its effect. your body tends to build high tolerances to these drugs if used consistently.

Vicodin and birth control pills should not be taken together. Medication like Vicodin can limit the effectiveness of birth control pills causing them not to work as well.

codeine is a derivative of opiates. rather ur being tested specifically for codeine or opiates (most likely both??). as far as i know they just check for opiates, not specifically codeine. however within 3 days of being clean u should be fine

the question answers itself...5mg ...haha there are a number of variables.. body weight comes into account how you take it (swollow whole, break in half and swallow, crush and swallow, or crush and snort) unsure if you can "shoot" it or not, also how often you take the drug..if you are only taking it for one incedent it can feel strong, however daily users might not feel anything

you shouldn't because if you have the normal kind not the actual pure hydrocodone then it already has acetaminophen in it which is the same thing as aspirin has in it so its pretty much the same so no you shouldn't because it can ruin your liver to have to much of this drug not hydrocodone but the acetaminophen will just take it without aspirin if your pain is that bad you should go to the docs and see if they can get you a higher dosage! hope you feel better soon <3

It depends on the preparation - both are DEA Schedule 2 opiates, but they typically come in drug preparations that lower them to Schedule 3. They're both about the same as far as strength goes, though.

The highest Vicodin around is Vicodin HP, which has 10mgs of Hydrocodone in it, which is double the amount of their weakest, standard Vicodin, which only has 5 milligrams of Hydrocodone in it.

This is a complicated question. Both have the same amount of hydrocodone (10mg) but Vicodin has more acetaminophen (Tylenol). Norco has 325mg Tylenol while Vicodin has 500mg.
