How do they know Mary was a virgin?
They don't KNOW. They BELIEVE because:
1) The bible says she was a virgin when she conceived Jesus (most Christians)
2) Sacred tradition says she was a virgin her whole life (orthodox, roman catholic, and some Anglican christians)
Roman Catholics, Orthodox Christians, some Anglicans and a few other believe the Bible and Sacred Tradition are both divinely inspired.
Most protestants believe only that the bible is divinely inspired.
Did the Blessed Virgin appear in Wisconsin?
No. Although there was a supposed apparition in the town of Necedah, it was ruled as false by the Vatican. Even after this ruling family that ran the shrine at Necedah continued to say it was authentic and that the Vatican was in error; these actions led to the families excommunication and their joining the Old Catholic Church (a schismatic group that denies Papal Infallibility),

When Jesus died who was given to Mary as a son?
When Jesus was on the cross and just before he died, he told the Apostle John that he was now her son and she was his mother. Jesus was telling John to take care of his mother. Mary also had other children but Jesus made a point of telling John to care for her.
Mary was a Middle-Eastern Hebrew or Jewish woman, so she most likely had black or brown hair. If her hair was red or blond, it would have mentioned in the Gospels. King David was mentioned in the Bible as being ruddy, or having reddish hair because his hair color wasn't the same color as everyone else, so if Mary's hair had been anything but dark, someon would have mentioned it.

Because Mary was an imperfect human (Romans 3:23) in need of redemption, she went to the temple and made a sin offering to God 40 days after the birth of Jesus, as all women were required to do.(Luke 2:22-24)
She was following God's law at: Leviticus 12:1-8, where it says: If a woman..." cannot afford enough for a sheep, she must then take two turtledoves or two young pigeons, one for a burnt offering and one for a sin offering, and the priest must make atonement for her, and she must be clean.'"(Leviticus 12:8)

What did Mary the Mother of God inspire others?
Mary, the Mother of God, was the most holy human being who ever lived. She is the only human being who fully coöperated with the Will of God from conception until the end of her life on earth. Thus she is the model of holiness, of hope, of obedience of faith, of prayer, of union with the Son of God, and witness of faith. See the Catechism of the Catholic Church for more details, these are covered in paragraphs 2030 (holiness), 64 (hope), obedience of faith (144, 148-49, 494), prayer (2617, 2619), union with the Son (964) and witness of faith (165, 273).
Was the statue of the Virgin Mary really crying?
no. i saw it on tv a couple of months ago, where a similar statue was also "crying blood". it is in reality not crying, but is fake blood that is pushed out of the "tearducts" by steam and hot air, using a series of pipes that were connected to a heated plate on the old statue that i saw. if you believe the statue is really crying, sorry to burst your bubble, or if you just wanted to know, well there is your answer.
PS a lot of other statues were used in this way by the church, to make the person believe. a statue seemed to ride out on thin air above the churchgoers head when the sun set. it was just hot air and glass. the doors of another church opened by themselves to let the people in. again, just a LOT of hot air forced through tubes. (sigh) it seems people will do anything to get attention.....
The virgin Mary was chaste because the Bible calls her a virgin. She was obviously a young woman who God trusted and respected enough to choose her to carry and care for His son Jesus
Who was the Blessed Virgin Mary's best friend?
Outside of private revelation, we don't know a lot about the Blessed Mother's life. Obviously, God was her best friend, as far as friends on earth are concerned, I'm sure that her Son, being her God, was her best friend. Outside of that Our Blessed Lord, and His foster-father, St. Joseph, the only friend we hear about in the canonical Scriptures is St. Elizabeth.

What direction should you face the Virgin Mary statue?
It does not matter as there are no pronouncements from the Vatican or in Church Tradition on which direction statues should face. However, it is Church tradition that Mass is said, and inferred to an extent, that we should pray, towards the East, towards the rising sun, as a symbol of Christ's Resurrection. So by that logic the statues would face west. None of this is binding however, except for the building of churches which always has the congregation (and before Vatican II, the Priest) facing east.

Who was with Our Lady of Guadalupe when she told someone that was her name?
According to the Guadalupe tradition a poor Indian named Juan Diego saw a vision of the Virgin Mary on 9 December 1531 asking him to have a chapel built in her honour in Tepeyac, Mexico. The story seems to have remained unknown for over one hundred years until a remarkable book by a priest named Miguel Sanchez made the image of Mary something which everyone suddenly knew about.
In 1996, Guillermo Schulenberg, the abbot of the Basilica of Guadalupe in Mexico City opposed the canonisation of Juan Diego and questioned his historic existence, saying that Juan Diego was "a symbol, not a reality."
