Get muslin cloth. Mash the fruit, remove seeds and skin. Cover the mush in the cloth and leave in the vodka for a day or so.

How long does vodka keep once opened?

A long time. Personally a (large) bottle rarely lasts me more than 3 days and never longer than a week, but other people who have better control of their impulses (bizarrely the same brain region involved in long range planning and self awareness, two concepts I am very comfortable with) have had their Vodka bottles last 3 months before I found them and drank them.

Alcohol is a potent anti-microbial and anti-fungal agent. Vodka has very high alcohol. I can't give you a definitive answer, but it should keep a very long time.

How many ounces in a handle of liquor?

Same as any handle, math wise:

2 US fluid ounces (a standard shot) = 59.1470591 ml59.1470591 ml = 0.0591470591 liters

1.75 / 0.0591470591 = 29.5872699

So about 29.5 shots per handle. I'd say plan for 28 or 27 shots, that way splitting equally:

2 people - 14 shots each

3 people - 9 shots each

4 people - 7 shots each

How many calories are in cranberry and vodka?

Do the calories in vodkareally mess up your diet?

Well, they're not that bad actually. A normal 1.5 fluid ounce shot of 80 proof vodka contains around 98 calories. About the same as a 4 fluid ounce glass of white wine.

The problem with vodka is that you usually drink it with a tonic or coke and they pile on the calories. A tonic adds about 80 calories, a coke about 50 calories and a bitter lemon about 80 calories.

If you really want to pile on the calories try a vodka Martini. 3 fluid ounces of vodka and a splash of Martini will rack up 210 calories, including the olive of course.

1 oz of vodka contains 64 calories

Can you drink vodka when you get your tongue pierced?

I have had clients who have gone out that night and done a little drinking. It comes down to common sense, you don't want to be over doing it. Alcohol dehydrates the body and will make swelling a bigger issue than it already is. If you choose to go out have the bar maid bring you some ice water, suck on the ice through out the evening and try not to over do.

Some will go off about yeast and infections, well that is a load of BS and nothing to be concerned about. The yeast in beer and bread are not of the same type to cause a yeast infection. But things you do need to remember is don't hyper extend your tongue to show it off, this will annoy your tongue and the piercing, promoting inflammation and swelling. Cold water rinse any time you smoke or eat anything, cold stuff as often as possible to help keep the swelling down. Original Listerine and other mouth washes should only be done twice a day, in the morning and before bed.

Sea salt rinses may help, but can be tasteless and gross and really don't do much for the piercing so that's up to you. Just use common sense with food and aftercare, nothing too spicy or too hot or foods that involve a lot of chewing for the first 4 or 5 days. Dairy products are something you should avoid, yogurt and ice cream are not a good due to the residue they leave behind which can also promote swelling. Just use your head and everything should be good. Ibuprofen and midol or Advil for oral use to reduce swelling may be a good idea as well.

Of course it does. If you have time, try to sweat it out with exercise early, then shower, then try to shower once more before you have to go somewhere. If you have had an eye opener or drank all night or right before, chew gum and hope for the best but you can definitely not hide it.

What kind of grain is used for the production of vodka?

Grain Vodka is what they have used to distill and make the vodka.

A distilled beverage, liquor, or spirit is a drinkable liquid containing ethanol that is produced by distilling, i.e. concentrating by distillation, the alcohol and other compounds produced by fermented grain, fruit, or vegetables. This excludes undistilled fermented beverages such as beer, wine, and hard cider.

The term spirit refers to a distilled beverage that contains no added sugar and has at least 20% ABV. Popular spirits include brandy, fruit brandy (also known as eau-de-vie / Schnapps), gin, rum, tequila, vodka, and whisky.

Can you bring alcohol in luggage on plane?

You can pack alcohol in your checked luggage on domestic flights. For international flights, you are subject to the laws and regulations of both the departing and arriving countries. Some countries, like Saudi Arabia, forbid alcohol, and it is illegal to bring any alcohol in any quantity, in any way, into the country. Most countries, such as the USA, have restrictions on how much alcohol you are permitted to bring into the country duty free, or at all. Some countries, like Canada, require you to posses an import license to bring in alcohol in larger quantities.

In terms of alcohol in your carry-on bags, the overriding concern tends not to be that it is alcohol, but that it is a liquid. You may not carry any bottle or container of liquid on to a commercial flight that holds more than 100 ml, or 3.4 ounces of liquid, except:

  • the bottle was purchased in the security zone of the airport you are departing from;
  • the liquid is baby formula, milk, or juice for an infant and you are traveling with an infant; or
  • the liquid is a prescription medication and the the name of the patient on the prescription label matches the name of the traveler.

Additionally, some alcohol (specifically anything with an alcohol content of 70% or more by volume) qualifies as a flammable liquid and is prohibited. This would include 95% grain alcohol (Everclear) and 151 proof rum. For alcohol that is at least 24% and less than 70% by volume, you may check up to 5 liters in the original, unopened retail packaging. Alcohol containing less than 24% is not regulated.

See Related links for more.

It depends on where and how you bring the alcohol on the plane. The FAA has specific rules about carrying alcohol on airplanes.

Different airlines have different rules that may be stricter than the FAA's regulations, however. For instance, if flying on Southwest Airlines, you will be restricted to the following rules: See related links Southwest Air

Always check with your airline before bringing alcohol on a plane. Generally, alcohol, if packaged originally, will be allowed in checked baggage, but it is not usually allowed in carry-on luggage.
