In effect, this question is unanswerable. The reason, is due to two unknowns 1) the final score of each team and 2) the winning team must have a two point advantage over its opponent !

CROSSING CENTER LINE: During play, any part of a player's body may touch the center line, and, in addition, only his/her foot or feet may contact the playing area on the opposite side of the center line providing that some part of each encroaching foot remains on or above the center line at the time of such contact. Any part of a player's body may be in the air below the net and beyond the center line if he does not interfere with the opponent's play by touching the ball or an opponent. A player may reach under the net to retrieve a ball that is in play by their team. The spiker's motion may legally carry his/her hand over the net on the follow-through provided that contact is made with the ball when at least a portion of the ball is directly above the net or it is clearly on his side of the net.

Handball is the hand version of football but you use your hands. Volleyball is where you hit the ball repeatedly over the net to the other team.

In volleyball there are many terms used.

For passing:

Shank- when the ball hits off someone and cannot be played

Pancake- when someone slides on the floor and slides their hand under the ball and makes it playable

Serving:

Ace- When the other team cannot play the ball

Float- a type of serve. A solid contact with the ball which makes it float in the air (hard to track in air)

Top spin- when the ball spins forward and drops when it comes over the net

Hitting

Spiker- also known as hitter/attacker. When somebody jumps and hits the ball over the net

Roof- When the blocker blocks the ball from coming over the net

Libero- back row specialist, typically best passer on the team

Depending on what your definition of "cheap" is, but Big5 does not sell cheap volleyball shorts. Also, Big5 is very limited for different styles of shorts and not gender friendly. Volleyball shorts only come in men's.

Normal indoor/outdoor volleyball court is 9X9 meters court.......

Distance between the serve line and the mid line it is 9 meters per side.....

Distance between the mid line and attack line is 3 meters per side...........

In a regulation game, a match is usually decided by the best 3 out of 5.

For the first 2 games a team has to get 25 points, In the last game (tie breaker) a team has to get 15 points. In most situations you have to win by 2 points.

A float serve is serving the ball in a way that makes it move so that it is harder to tell where it's going. The ball is harder to track and passers must focus harder to volleyball pass the ball.

To play volleyball you need your body, a team, and another team of people to play against. You also need a volleyball and a volley ball net (or improvised net).

Safety equipment includes; knee pads, tennis shoes, comfortable clothes to play in, and sometimes even gloves.

A quick set in volleyball is when the setter sets the middle player at a very low height to surprise the other team at the speed of the ball.
