I believe that killing of the whales and the dolphins is brutal and sad that their lifelong families should be torn apart so senselessly whales will not be that well to eat that it makes it to be eaten instead of realizing they're mammals to be loved for who they can be moved closer to us being in an intelligent animals to listen to their songs that they lift up to us to listen' The dolphins also.Thank - you for taking time to read this.dl

The good sides and bad sides of whaling?
Assuming you came here looking for an opinion, I would have to say there are no good sides to whaling. Whales are endangered and should be left alone before they are wiped out. There are other ways to make money.
That's not true whales may be endangered but the population is growing very well, around 250 out of 260 whale that where killed by whaling had said to be pregnant so the population is growing well. Whales are very useful resources and they supply food, Cosmetics, Perfume, Lantern and heater oil, shoes and everyday items like umbrellas. they shouldn't be hunted to extinction its bad but if they kill the right amount the population will stay stable or even rise.

some people think that whaling is good because it doesn't do that much harm to that species but it does as otherwise there will be les whales and after a certain time they will become endangered and then extinct!
If whaling is stopped or prohibited what effects will this have on the Japanese economy?
Almost none. The main aim of whaling in Japan is to limit the number of whales (especially minke whales) that consume large quantities of fish and so reduce fishing yields. Whale meat is sold in high class Tokyo restaurants and very few modern-day Japanese have eaten it.
