The production ofalcohol is relatively simple. Water, sugar and yeast combined will produce alcohol Add a fourth component, a flavoring agent, and your getting close to a drinkable beverage.
Recipe for corn liquor:
6 lbs of sugar
3 lbs cracked corn
5 gal good water
1 packet of wine or sherry yeast.
Boil water and sugar and corn and pitch yeast when cool. This should be done in a closed top fermentation container. When the fermentation has run its course, you will have a 12 to 15% alcohol product.
Now the hard part. To make whiskey you would run this product through a still.

Scotch is a trade name and must meet requirements for ingredients, aging, and distilling. All Scotch is made in Scotland, all whiskey made in Scotland in not Scotch.
