You can add both music and narration to the Audio/Music track in Windows Movie Maker. Both can play at the same time in your published movie. You can then adjust the audio levels to determine which audio will play louder than the other in your movie.

How to achieve that is by Publishing/Finishing your project.

Once it is saved to your computer in finished format, import the video back into Windows Movie Maker and add the Speed up, Double or Slow down, Half effect.

Pivot files are not compatible with Windows Live Movie Maker (or any other version of the program). You must convert the Pivot format into one compatible with Windows Movie Maker before it can be used in the program.

Yes, but its not easy.

In order to be able to use a video clip in movie maker, you will need to have it saved on disk as an avi, mpeg, wmv, asf or any other video format supported by movie maker. There are a few firefox plugins made specifically for saving youtube videos to disk, but the legality of doing so is questionable. Additionally, youtube goes out of its way to limit the functionality of these plugins & thus restrict you from saving the videos to disk.

I have had very limited success with these plugins.

The best option is to contact the person who posted the video and ask if its okay for you to use it in this way, and if so, if they wouldn't mind sending you the video in its original format.

You can't do that in Window Live Movie Maker. The program is a stripped-down version of 2.6 that is very limited in features and functionality.

The time it takes to save a movie/video in Windows Movie Maker depends on these factors:

> Transitions

> Audio inclusion

All of these elements are "mixed-down" in during the save, which takes time. However, if these elements are not present (or there are not many included in the project), your computer may need some maintenance such as a Disk Cleanup and/or Defrag. Also, make sure Automatic Updates for Windows Programs is enabled. If not, try manual updating. If you still find major lag when saving in Windows Movie Maker after attempting all resolutions, I would advise re-installing the program.
