Yes the Grand Canyon is a Wonder of the World.

yes it is. it is one of the wonders of the modern world

There were seven wonders of the ancient world, one of which is still in existence - the Great Pyramid of Giza. Another would be the Hanging Gardens of Babylon, which is no longer in existence.

In between 600BC and 247BC is when 6 of the 7 wonder of the Ancient world were built.

There are lots of speculations as to why but none of the reasons given can justify why the Sphinx is not considered to be one of them. Which means all the reasons given are wrong or the Sphinx should be considered to be one of them

Because it is amazing! During the solstice, the stones line up to form an exact Geometrically calculated figure. For people from hundreds of years ago to line up stones so accurately is fascinating. Not to mention that the wheel hadn't been invented, so carrying those huge stones appears next to impossible. Also, we don't know for sure who built it, which in and of itself is amazing.

Ancient means Old.. Our present world has lots of changes from New world. so some of the wonders of that time has also got destroyed. no. of changes are just like Environmental changes For Example Earthquake.. These Completely destruct the Wonders. and New wonders take there Place. that much is diff. between Seven world and ancient seven wonders.

Because it represented that the egyptians were wealthy. Pyramids were also the tallest structures in the world for a very long time, finally egyptian pharaohs were buried in them which showed that the egyptians cared about their pharaohs.

The name of the 7 Wonders of the World are the Great Pyramid of Giza, the Hanging Gardens of Babylon, the Statute of Zeus at Olympia, the Temple of Artemis at Ephesus, the Mausoleum at Halicarnassus, the Colossus of Rhodes and the Lighthouse of Alexandria.

The "New Seven Wonders of the World" is an attempt to recreate the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World with wonders that are present in the modern world. The New Open World Corporation (NOWC) organized a vote and the winners were announced in the Summer of 2007.

Im sorry, but that is the only remaining ancient wonder of the world, but there are other lists, such as the seven wonders of the medieval world, seven wonders of the underwater world, etc.
